I needed to expand my craft room and wanted to add a shipping station. My husband and I looked in the store itself and they did not carry it but I did see it online so I decided to order it online. I ended up ordering 2 of them to do what I needed to do. After we got them assembled, which went fairly quickly, and put them in place, I discovered there was a ding on a corner of one of the side panels. Not a big deal since it does not show since it is near the back in the corner. Other than that ding, these are great cabinets, well engineered and stable. I wanted to add a drawer between the 2 cabinets since we set them 18" apart and I was able to call the manufacturer and find out how I could just get the drawer front to match. They had me come back to the Home Depot web site to get the model number for the 18" wide drawer top base cabinet. A week later I had the drawer front. I already had the other materials needed to make the center drawer from other projects we had done so I just needed the drawer front. The finish on these cabinets is very smooth just like pre-assembled cabinets. Overall a great value and if you are a do it yourself type of person, these are easy to work with.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jeanne Just what we needed
We needed something for our pool house and enough of these to stretch 8', fit the bill. They're well made, all the parts were accounted for, and the directions were easy to read and follow. The only thing we had to work with was that we had to build up the top with 2x4's in order to have the counter top high enough to be able to open the drawers. You could have a flat counter top, but we wanted a regular kitchen counter top...

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Marc44 Piece of Junk, Poorly made
This cabinet is the worst piece of junk I have ever purchased. It is made of the absolutely cheapest materials available. It is by far the bottom of the line. The drawers are terrible, it is not square, the backing is like cardboard and does not fit correctly. Bottom line: I would not want one for FREE, it is pure junk. Buy the ones in the store that are pre-assembled, they are much higher quality.

I bought two of these cabinets. One with a drawer and one without. You get what you pay for. It's an inexpensive cabinet that you have to put together yourself. I'm pretty experienced at assembling furniture, so I was not intimidated by that. The instructions were pretty easy and concise. However, the materials themselves are pretty flimsy, so you have to be careful. At one point, I could not get one of the wooden pegs into the hole (the peg was slightly larger than the hole), so I lightly tapped it with a hammer. The peg then went all the way through the hole and almost out the other side. I say almost because the veneer managed to stop it. If I had tapped just a little harder, it would have went all the way through.
My biggest complaint was the condition of the cabinet pieces once I unpacked them. There was damage on two corners and one side actually had a long splinter of cabinet missing. Luckily, the damage all was to the back side of the cabinet, so once installed, it did not show. The damage was NOT the result of shipping. The box was packed with Styrofoam and was quite sturdy. The damage was done before packing and shipping. I realize these are not expensive cabinets, however I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to have undamaged merchandise. The quality control BEFORE shipping is very poor. Whoever packed that box had to see the pieces were damaged, yet they shipped them out anyway. I watch "How It's Made" all the time. I've seen quality control pull broken M&Ms out of the line before packaging. If someone can spot a damaged M&M, then why can't a damaged cabinet be noticed??
On the whole, I would recommend this cabinet to someone else with the following caveats:
1. You have to assemble it yourself and you need to be very careful when doing so. Take your time. The material is flimsy and can't handle a lot of manhandling.
2. Inspect it carefully for damage. The odds are, you're going to find some.
But if I had to do it again, I'd buy preassembled at the store so I can inspect for damage before buying.
