Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as advertised We have one stairway that is very difficult to use in the winter because of freezing. We purchased this product not knowing if it would work. It does and very well. We would recommend this product to anyone who needs to have snow/ice free stairs. We are going to buy four more. February 27, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rust Stains on Concrete Bought these in 2013 to help melt the snow on our brand new walkway because the concrete needs time to cure. Worked perfectly. Ordered three more of the 10" x 30" mats for this winter. Mats went through one snow fall and the metal corner rings are rusting like cheap tin. I now have 12 rust circles on my concrete walkway. The original mats are not rusting so I presume there was a product modification that was not first tested. No word from the manufacturer as to how they plan to fix the problem. January 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Haven't had any snow yet but excited about the concept Ordered these for my 78 year old mother who lives alone and has a fear of snow and slipping on the stairs to her home. Hoping these will eleviate her fears and keep her from going out in bad conditions to shovel her stairs. The concept seems great. Installation was a breeze. The Heattrak website also sells a remote control accessory which we purchased so she can turn the mats on and off without having to go outside. Home Depot's service and delivery were excellent. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The stair treads are easy to install and highy effective. Our treads are used on exterior concrete stairs that normally accumulate a great deal of snow and ice. The treads were easy to install, and have been completely effective at keeping snow melted, and ice from accumulating, even at temperatures as low as 20 degrees below zero. I had no easy way to secure the treads to the concrete steps, but they have been very stable and remain in place without any tethers or adhesives of any kind. December 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Effective These mats have been used in frost and up to an inch of snow, and really work well, keeping our wooden steps totally frost and snow free. Although we've only had an inch of snow (so far!), I've no reason to think that they would not work on more. In terms of appearance. well, they are OK, but not great - but then again, we use them for safety, not looks. December 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than salt The snow-melting mats have done the job, without the damage that salt causes. Our steps tended to be icy, even when shoveled because any amount of moisture left on them would ice up. The mats have prevented them from getting icy in the first place. February 21, 2012
