Can this unit be mounted under the eaves versus the wall?

Asked by: bwca77
Absolutely it can be easily mounted under the eaves and will work well in that application.

Why doesn't it pickup someone walking towards it?

Why doesn't it pickup someone walking towards it? ... it picks up someone walking across the yard but does not pick up someone walking towards or away from the sensor.
Asked by: Dave
As stated in instruction manual the sensor works best when motion is going from "side to side". Motion sensors in general can have a "blind spot" affect when motion approaches straight on in a direct line. To prevent this blind spot affect, suggestion would be to turn the sensor slightly to the left or right to create that motion as a "side to side".

Does this one have a low light option

I have a floodlight that would stay on with a very low light during the night and only comes on full power when the sensor is triggered by some motion. Basically my driveway always have a low light and only gets a full light when something moves there. does this light work the same way? does it have a low light which is always on and the full power which comes on when motion detected?
Asked by: Sean
It does. This light has the DualBrite feature which allows it to stay on at reduced brightness and then move to full bright when motion is detected. You can set the amount of time you want the light to stay on full bright after motion is detected to either 1, 5, or 20 minutes. It also has a test feature that allows you to set up the light during the day light. Hope this is helpful and thanks for your question!

240-Degree Outdoor Motion-Sensing Security Light is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Easy to install and adjust. Worked for about a week. It comes on and stays on. Took it back for a refund. After reading reviews of other models made by Zenith that have the same problem I have decided to look for another make. Save yourself the aggravation and do not buy this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DOESN'T LAST I PURCHASED ONE ABOUT A YEAR AGO. IT INSTALLED EASY ENOUGH. STOPPED WORKING AFTER A WEEK. CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID TO RETURN TO STORE. EXCHANGED FOR ANOTHER ONE. WORKED GREAT UNTIL LAST WEEK ( 1 YEAR). JUST STOPPED WORKING. CALLED TECH SUPPORT. PROBABLY PHOTO SENSOR IS NO GOOD. DID NOT KEEP RECEIPT SO WILL HAVE TO SEND BACK TO COMPANY FOR REPLACEMENT.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy! I had an electrician install this light in my backyard. But, the light would spontaneously turn on and stay on. I had the electrician install a new replacement unit and the same thing happened. The electrician called the #800 number in the booklet and they said the unit only uses one type of incandescent bulb which is contrary to the specs on this site. I purchased and tried the recommended bulbs anyway, but the light would still spontaneously turn on and stay on. Unfortunately, I didn't keep the unit box from the first light installation so now I'm stuck with a useless light unit. This product is a complete waste of time and money!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Stopped working after 3 years. That breaks down to just $10/year if you do not factor in a cost to install. Warranty is only good for 2 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Easy to understand, install, and set up. It works exactly as described. Because of features, it must use incandescent lamps, but the partial on feature is great. My wife loves that she now has her path lighted. Doesn't false trigger as easily as some other models. Very well done.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk I bought 3 of these and 2 failed within the first 5 months. One light simply just flashes on and off and the other just doesn't work. Buy RAB brand - much more expensive, but you wont be replacing this junk every few months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for Because it was high on my house I had a pro do the installation and it took him only about 15 minutes to do two units - electricity was already in place. I'm getting used to how to do the settings as it sometimes comes on and stays on when I thought I had it set for 5 minutes.
