.... a day, day and night. It used to only come on when it was dark enough. Is there anything I can do to get it to only come on when it's dark enough?

Answer:
Has something changed around your light? For example a tree or shrub that has grown tall? It sounds like the photo control is being tricked into thinking it is night time which can sometimes happen in a heavily shaded area. Please call our technical support team for troubleshooting assistance at 1-800-858-8501 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm CST.

Answer:
CHECK THE GROUND WIRES TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE BOTH SECURELY CONNECTED.
CHECK THE POSITION OF THE MOTION DETECTOR, THERE IS AN OPENING FOR LIGHT TO ENTER WHEN ITS DAYLIGHT. IF THE SENSOR GOT MOVED TOWARD A WALL AWAY FROM LIGHT OR COVERED WITH DIRT, IT WILL FOOL THE LIGHT INTO THINKING ITS DARK OUT TO ACTIVATE THE LIGHT.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by NOT THE MOST RELIABLE... Purchased this light for the backyard around Thankgiving of 2007 almost immediately the motion sensor stopped working. The light would cut on/off intermittenly all night (at least the "dusk til dawn" feature worked) on it's own. I would look out the window and watch this in disappointment. I changed the bulbs about 3 times (2 new bulbs a year is good considering it ran 365 days all nigh long). About a month ago, I found both lamps had blown. I purchsed new bulbs and soon found out the light is dead. Stay away from this lamp, it's cheap in both price and craftsmanship quality. November 8, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Halogen bulbs keep burning out The DualBright feature is great. The light looks good. However, the halogen bulbs keep burning out. They only seem to last a month to two months max. I can't afford to keep replacing these bulbs. I have replaced this unit with another brand. November 21, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Piece of Junk I am an electrician and I have installed lots of lights but I decided to install these on my home because they kinda matched the lights I have installed in the back yard. I have never installed this particular light before. I am so dissappointed with this light. I have had nothing but problems with these (2) that I installed. They would blink on and off for no apparent reason. I know it is not connected backwards, one reason it would blink. The other one would come on, for no reason, and stay on even though I had it set for only one minute. These lights are very frusterating if you looking for a maintenance free light. lol. Stear clear of this light. They do have good light coverage but it stinks that you have no control over the lights themselves. July 14, 2009
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best quality I own rental properties. We installed alot of these security lights, this model, Model SL-5512-BZ, and Model SL-5597-BZ (black). We've encountered frequent bulb changes and fixture malfunctions; sometimes new fixtures are defective right off the bat. While the bulb changes (expensive halogen bulbs) could be due to use, I would peg the rate of replacement due to fixture malfunction (ex. sensor no longer working, ligh no longer working, etc) is about 25% WITHIN A YEAR of use. If you've bought alot of these lights, that really adds up. Be warned! January 26, 2009
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This product is great I bought this flood light about 7 years ago but in white it now just started to act like what everyone is complaining about like the sensor stopped working and the light sometimes wouldn't work I just bought a new light today and so far it works perfect. The dimming feature works perfect for saving energy and bulb life and keeping the yard still well lit. The other best feature I like is the fact that u can move and position the lights where ever you want with out and gaps in the lighting all and all the best light for the price October 2, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Waste of time This fixture is a failure of workmanship. After replacing the same unit ten times you would think I would stop trying. It breaks sooner or later in many ways and usually sooner than imagined. Bulbs, light sensor, glass safety cover, and electronics, All fail in a short period of time. I bought it for the heavy duty appearance which made me think it would last, The only part that does not break is the metal housing. If you purchase this product you will be sure to be using its warranty soon enough and then again. Who has time for that? February 27, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Joy is short-lived! This product was installed by myself. I have extensive experience installing this kind of lighting so I can promise it was done correctly and installed with a zero vibration, ideal placement. Despite the care taken with this product it is complete and utter GARBAGE. For the first couple of weeks it performed admirably. Then... It became very inconsistent in it's performance with the motion sensing and it began to burn out bulbs. I've had this product for a short period and will likely take a great deal of pleasure out of destroying it before I throw it in the garbage bin. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I should have taken heed of the negative reviews I read about this product as they were 100% correct (and I don't know why it shows as a 5 star on this site! Clearly it's not rated that high). I will NOT buy another product by this manufacturer. Final word: JUNK! February 26, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broke Sensor The good, the bad, and the ugly... This product looks good, the light is REALLY bright, and is fair-moderate to install. The sensor... TOTAL fail! This advertises a 100ft motion sensing range. I was lucky to get 10 ft! I could have had WWIII going on in my backyard at the 20-30ft mark and this thing would have never known. Total waste of time. I'll definitely be looking at OTHER brands beside this one. Will be returning product tommorow. Do NOT waste your time like I did with this product. September 6, 2012
