What size light bulb does this unit use?

100 watt halogen

Can the motion sensor be disabled or ignored? (for full time on/off operation)?

Asked by: mike
I would not buy it for full time use on. The halogen bulbs are real hot and it is meant to be a motion security lamp going on and off or only for few hours at a time. Get a different lamp.

Problem is that it will not shut off after the required time delay as set. Lite will stay on all nite long. I have to manually shut the power to lite. Save your money, this system is not reliable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this piece of junk. I liked the idea of wide angle and 3 lights that were installed. However, this is a piece of junk. The fisrt light went out within 3 nights, the 2nd one went out a week later. The first night the lights worked fine. After that, the lights stayed on all night. After changing the bulbs and adjusting the time, the lights worked as they should for a 4 nights and then the lights stayed on all night. This is easy to install, but I should have know better when it was made by Heath. This is the same junk that was on the market 30 years ago. As soon as the weather warms up this will be in the trash and a real light will be installed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from don't buy the worst light ever. purchased 3 sets, all fill apart within 3 months, bulbs frequently need to be replaced. expensive, cheesy product and the manufacture doesn't stand behind their product. do not waste your money on this item!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Performed as described The white color matched our house trim exactly, so the lights look as if they belong. I played around a bit with the different settings for the lights, and all of the settings worked perfectly. The ability to adjust the direction of the beam for each bulb is really excellent, I was able to light my entire front and back yard, including my driveway. I did make a minor mistake in the install concerning the lighting unit that is next to my driveway. I had intended for it to light whenever a vehicle pulled in to my drive, but the point at which I mounted it allowed the down spout from my gutter to block the motion sensor. More forethought would have served me better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are great lights! I have had three of these lights for three years and they are excellent. They light up our entire yard unlike our old fixtures. If a 60 year old lady can figure out how to install them with no problem, I guess most anyone can do it. As for the bulbs burning out, well only two have blown out and now need to be replaced. Excellent product! Was disappointed when I went to the store and they didn't have any in stock ... I need to replace one more fixture.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quirky when and if it decides to work It worked well the very first night, then started to come on randomly. Sometimes it would keep turning itself back on immediately after turning off, every 5 minutes. The fading was really neat, initially, but got old watching it while it kept us up all night. Recently though, it stopped detecting motion all together. It only works if I flip the switch over and over again to keep it going. It would have been a great light if the motion sensing unit wasn't so cheap.
