Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Pass on this one
I've had this fixture for a few years (3 or 4). Worked fine with a few quirks off and on as far as the motion sensor goes. I did like the dim feature. My problem is the plastic motion sensor lens cover. Over time it will deteriorate or break (with hail). Called the company, they sent me a new cover, but wrong installation directions. Called them to find out how to replace it on "this" lantern. This go around... Customer service was not only poor, but rude also, to say the least. He eventually told me that the lens cover can "not" be replaced in this particular lantern. Not sure if I'll take the fixture down and try to repair it anyway or just replace the whole fixture with a different brand. The finish on this one has faded (not to long after purchase) and looks dull and ugly anyway. Evidently, from what the rep was saying if it had been a type that the motion sensor was not a ball type (as this one is), I could just replace the lens. Heath/Zenith website is a total waste of time. You can't even pull up this Model #. Forget about pulling up a manual too.
I don't have money to burn on something this expensive that should still look good and be easily repaired. That's why I suggest to pass on this one. Hope this helps someone else.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jules Motion light is attractive
It looks very nice and of high quality.
It has been challenging to get the settings right. It comes on with motion but is not on dusk to dawn.

Matched our homes style and I like the dimming feature for when there is no activity but it seems to only work with older light bulbs - had the newer kind in and it burnt out 2 of them so I am concerned we wont be able to find bulbs that work with it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bigkhhkkvhkhvh435475 I set it up in 20 min in the dark!
Save the screws from your old mounting plate.
The one in the box are too big.
Other than that a flat head, Phillips, and plyers
And a flashlight in my mouth I got it done in 20 min
I used a CREE - LED indoor/outdoor 9watt. 5000K. 800 Lumens bulb
Even in dim mode it's brighter than the niebhors.
You can change the photocell for 3 or 6 hours
The bright mode for 1-5-10 min
Just buy it it's worth it.

I actually bought two of these maybe 15 years ago. They have held up well over the years. They already had a bronze aged look. And it has not changed much. When I was looking to replace an aging light fixture above my front door, I was surprised and delighted to see that this fixture was still around. I quickly changed my plans to replace the fixture above the door and use this fixture beside my door. It looks great! I love the motion sensor capability and the dusk to dawn option.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by InTheDark Works good but won't last
Motion activated light works like a charm....it's very sensitive.
I would like it to last more than 3 years before it is completely rusted through. I don't live near the ocean either.
Not suitable for direct exposure to the elements.

You need a degree in electrical engineering to get the lights to work the way you want them. There's no way to just have the lights turn on when you want and turn off when you flip the switch. These lights are beautiful but the sensors are poor quality. The "sensor" will shut the light off even when you're standing within range. Bam! You're in the dark! Obviously, you think to yourself, "I must have set the lights up wrong" so you try again and again and you study the manual like a student two days before finals. Mastering biochemistry in Greek is child's play compared to trying to make these lights work the way you want them. These are by far the worst lights I have ever purchased and deserve an "F" for thinking this was the right choice. You'd have better luck teaching your dog to turn the lights on when you pull up to your home. Continue to seek, brave soul, for these lights will not illuminate your way.
