Answer:
You can. Just plug the provided outlet into a regular wall outlet, then plug the fan into the new outlet. The remote turns the fan on with the push of a button

Answer:
Yes. The codes are included in the instructions. For example, the button on the left turns on/off the living room light, while the button on the left turns on/off the bedroom light. (Requires a 2pack: 2 sockets, 1 remote)

Answer:
With this model, you have the ability to manage security codes in order to control individual devices separately. The remote control with this model has two different "sides" that will work with two independent devices. Only one plug in device comes in this kit, but you can add other devices to the system.

Answer:
The remote controls two separate lamps. I was able to find a second plug in unit online, but it was actually more then the remote and plug in unit combo. So now I have an extra remote.

Answer:
Yes, you can control 2 separate lights in the same room. All you need to do is change the transmission code for the plug-in receivers to operated independently. You can purchase a separate plug-in on this website, it is model number SL-6012-WH.

I want to purchase an additional plug-in to use for the second lamp. I don't want the alert which seems to make the plug in cost more ($26.61 vs. $26.16 for both the lamp control and the plug in). Can't I just purchase an additional plug-in without the alert for less money? thanks

The stand-alone plug-in receiver lamp control you need is the WH-6011-WH, but unfortunately it is not sold on this website.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great I have a sectional sofa with a lamp behind it that is difficult to reach. This makes it easy to turn on. However the main reason I purchased it was for the dimming capability which works perfectly without the need for 3 way bulbs. Another review mentioned that it doesn't remember its dimming setting after you turn it off, but that is not quite correct. If you push the "Dim" button from when it's off, it will turn on dim. If you push "On" it turns on at full brightness. October 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product for people with mobility issues I bought this for my mother-in-law who had a stroke and is unable to walk. I placed it in her room where she can easily turn her light off and on. Also has five dimming levels. Remote was easy for her to use. I too wished these were available in the store! I will be purchasing another one for home use. January 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for migranes It dims up too 5 different levels but you must get a 3 way bulb not all bulbs work just takes a bit to find the right one December 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Many uses, works great Allows me to turn on lights from outside home, turn on lights that are not plugged into an outlet connected to a wall switch. Easy to install, works perfectly. October 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wish they carried in store! Easy to install and use. I have installed "in wall" and "in attic" to avoid running romex and cutting boxes in walls. Simple tech idea that would be even better if I could get them in my store and not have to order online. December 20, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product is great! This lamp remote was just the right thing for my elderly parents. So much easier than trying to reach up and turn a difficult switch. They love it. January 29, 2013
