Answer:
If you put it in the bottom of the 2 outlets, it will not cover the top outlet. It only uses and covers 1 of the outlets.

Answer:
This model only has 1 remote control. There is not a model with 2 remote controls. You would have to purchase 2 separate kits and then have 2 remotes and 2 plug-ins.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 43 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works better than expected I purchased an in-wall entertainment center and I no longer had access to the back of the cabinet and I wanted to put lights in the cabinet. I purchased some halogen under cabinet lights, but I had no way to turn them on and off. I searched on-line for a remote control and I found this gadget and decided to take a chance and I ordered it. I initially thought the device was infrared like the remote control, but it turns out that it is a remote control like your garage door opener in your car. That was a plus because now I can turn the lights on and off from various places in the house. It works great so far. I've been very pleased and would recommend it to anyone else. May 1, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by this thing malfunctions This remote has a mind of it's own, go to bed and the middle of the night the light is on, come home from work and it's on. I plan to return this item February 10, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Save your money It comes on and goes off sporadically. Someone else in the neighborhood may have a remote wth same frequency. February 10, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by stopped working after two weeks worked for about two weeks then just quit. would not recommend or ever purchase again January 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by solved the problem have a light above kitchen sink, wife could not reach switch. Found this item and solved problem, wife happy,I'm happy, problem solved. A company wanted $500.00 to install light switch. December 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I Can Turn On My Lights I purchased 2 wall lights with switches on the cord. This remote kit solved a big problem and all I had to do was plug the 2 lamp cords into the receiver (by using an extension cord with 2 split cord connectors and 1 plug into the receiver), then plug the device into the wall. The remote is very small so I have to be careful not to put it where I can't see it or find it but it works great! I just push the on button and lights are on; I push the off button and lights are off! I can control the lamps from across the room with no effort! May 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth the money My wife and I ordered three of these gizmos for our bedroom. Although they work perfectly they do not work independently. By that I mean that one controller will work however many sockets you have plugged in all at the same time, within the range of 50'. That is, one controller will work whatever sockets are in its range. They are not like garage door openers each with their own operating frequency. Therefore, you can't operate his and her lamps independently within the same room. Other than that the product itself does exactly what it says it will do. June 27, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by simplifies turning on lights I got 3 of these because my sister asked for 2 for Christmas and it looked like it would be useful, so I got one for myself too. I've got it set up to turn on 2 table lamps in the living room (they are in awkward places, so it's always been a pain to turn them on and off) and it works great ... now just a single click to turn them both on or off. I also have one of those electronic photo frames plugged into it, so that goes on when the lights do. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because every once in a while (maybe once a week) we come into the room and find that the lights are on even though we didn't turn them on ... some other wireless remote must be on the same signal, but we haven't found it yet. Otherwise it's a great gadget! February 2, 2011
