Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wired Door Chime Made much more cheaply than the Heath Zenith door chime I had bought 15 years ago. (Less coils on the solenoids; plastic backing plate; shorter chime tubes don't sound as good) Although this one is nice looking, I was disappointed enough in the quality that I chose to repair the old chime and continue using it instead. Just wasted 75 bucks. Does anyone make a good quality door chime these days? December 12, 2010
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful to look at, sounds cheap I spent a lot of time trying to find the right door chime. This one had what we wanted: oil rubbed bronze to match our livingroom's new decor, mahogany finish to match the look of our new Brazilian Koa flooring, wired, and mechanical. Unfortunately, the chimes sound cheap and chintzy. However, it sounds better than most of what is available today. Our original doorbell (circa 1970) that we replaced with this one sounded much fuller and crisper and resonated much better than this brand new one. Bottom line: I just don't think they make 'em like they used to. February 7, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks good but sounds bad This is a good looking door chime but the sounds leaves a lot to be desired. it has two chimes for two separate doors. One is a ding-dong sound and the other is just a ding. Both sound bad and incomplete. I will replace a soon as I can find a better one. Not really worth the money because of the sound. May 15, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed with Finish I can't review how it worked, since I was disappointed with the finish so I didn't bother opening the package. The outside instructions mentioned a low voltage piece needed. However, when purchased, website didn't mention this, but it appears not to be included in the package. Would check with salesperson prior to leaving store. July 24, 2010
