Doorbell chime sounds tinny; but, it works. Understandable since it's an electronic generated sound from a small package vs. a true chime. Additionally, for the full chime to work (more notes when the door bell rings), you are also required to wire a diode into your doorbell so the full tone set is played; else it is an abbreviated doorbell alert. This diode could be extremely hard to install if you only have a door bell button, and not much room behind the door bell and the front wall. None the less, the chime works. and compared to other doorbell chimes in its class; is well-priced. I bought a full system replacement (door bell, transformer, and chime) all from the same company to ensure compatibility, and would suggest same to future buyers.

If you want a multichime sound, this is one of the loudest and clearest out there. There are tons of the "ding dong" type, but I wanted the westminster sound.
It requires a diode at one door, otherwise the sound cuts off when they let go of the button. It is supplied with the kit, and is pretty typical of hardwired multiphonic chimes.
Requires at least a 16v transformer. Houses built prior to 1960's were not standardized yet and might need one.

I had to replace the old transformer which was 10 volt with a recommended transformer which is 16 volt. After that all went well.

The door chime was easy to install and fit in with our decor.
The chime is loud enough to hear and has a beautiful sound. When someone comes to the door and rings the bell we can hear it from anywhere in and out of the house.

Wish the product had more ringtone options. Too early to tell if it works well... only time will tell.
