Answer:
Hey Mike,
Inside the chime unit itself you will notice that there are 3 nodes to connect to. The center of the 3 is to be connect directly to the transformer unit. The other 2 nodes are labeled 'front' and 'back'. Each of those nodes should be connected to a separate button and each will chime differently depending on which of the 2 nodes it is connected to.

Answer:
Hey Mike,
Inside the chime unit itself there are 3 connection spaces. The center of the 3 is the power directly from the transformer. On each side of this connection is a space for chime 1 and chime 2 to be connected. These will run to 2 separate buttons, each button will chime either one or two time, depending on which node it is connected to.

Answer:
Hey Fred,
It sounds like there may be some crossed lines or a short somewhere in the wiring. Be sure that you have used color coded wiring and that each wire is connected properly at the unit as well as the transformer for the unit.

Answer:
If the new chime hums, it means that the chime is continually receiving power from the transformer. Likely there is a short circuit in the wiring or the push button(s), or the wiring is not correct on the chime.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent System I love my new system. Very easy to install and the design looks great on my wall. October 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple to install, works great This has classic doorbell sound, is easy to install, and inexpensive. September 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job. I had no problem installing this as I was replacing my old non working unit. I needed new buttons and don't know if my transformer was okay or not. I couldn't believe that for under twenty bucks I'd get the bell, transformer, and two buttons let alone one lighted button. I am very well satisfied with this purchase. August 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Door Bell replacement Replaced the main door bell unit. I did not have to replace the transformer. Removed the old unit - replaced the wires and the door chime worked great. Long term use pending but was easy to replace. Douglas June 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by For the price works fine instructions were good. good product considering the price March 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great and easy to install My doorbell stopped working and bought this to replace it. Short of tools and wires ( which were already in the wall) it had everything i needed and then some. Ended up not using the transformer that came with. Sound was equal to what my existing one was (loud) and could hear it throughout my bilevel home. Tried a wireless unit before this project and the sound was no where near this unit. Not sure what the guy before is talking about regarding the buzzing as it did/does not do that for me. Installation was easy for a dummy like me...unscrew old one, label wires so you know which is the button and which one is the transformer wire. Take wires out of old unit, put in new unit, screw to new unit. Done. October 27, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just OK............ No surprises about what I got or how to install it. It's pretty basic. I will give it three stars because while it works OK, the volume and tone is far less than what I expected (or need), and at some point, I'll have to replace it with a better unit. However, for a basic doorbell, it's OK. December 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sound Very low Very affordable, I would recommend it for a small house. Is good but the sound is very low. I have a two story house and I can't hear the bell when I am in the back rooms on top floor. But for a one story house it works well. December 10, 2014
