Installed this doorbell at two properties where the existing doorbell was too quiet (hearing impaired customers).
Plays an extremely loud tone that both customers were very happy with. Very fast shipping and cost of the units was decent.
Only downside was on the second installation, only 1/3 of the Westminster note would play. I replaced both diodes without any luck. Eventually changed to the second tone & that worked with the diode.

The doorbell did not ring. An electrical diode is needed to be added to the outdoor bell button. Two were supplied, along with specifications for buying more locally. Neither made the doorbell ring. Very frustrating. $50 wasted.

A choice of Westminster (Big Ben) Chime or the Whittington Chime. I prefer the Westminster.
With the Volume set at high, there is no question that the doorbell has rung!!

A ding dong for one door and a song for the other door. Not like a mechanical unit this electronic type requires the bell actuator push button to be held down or the sound abruptly halts when button is released.

Easy to install if you are a DIY guy like myself. Good doorbell. You have to put a diode on your switch to get the 8 chime sound, pretty easy though and comes with the chime. I set the back doorbell to two chime and front to 8 chime. Sounds very grand!

Nothing special, nothing wrong, and it works as described without any problems, so 3 stars.
I installed this along with the lighted doorbell switch DW-257. The switch lights. The doorbell rings through the full chime sequence with a momentary press of the button. You don't need to hold down the button for the full sequence to play. (If you forget to install the diode, then you must hold the button down to get the chime to ring through the whole chime pattern). We can hear it throughout both floors and basement of our 4 BR Cape, which is around 1800 sq. feet. I wouldn't want it louder or it would hurt your ears if you were next to it.
One complaint about Home Depot itself. The box in the store appeared to have been opened, so I asked the clerk if we could open it and make sure all the parts were there. Some parts were missing and this was the only one in the store, so I went to a different Home Depot to get a complete package. The next day, I happened to be back in the first store and saw that the clerk had put the box that was missing parts back on the shelf for someone to buy. That was foolish and dishonest.

Finally found a door chime that helps me hear when someone rings the doorbell. My bedroom is at the farthest end of my house and I never can hear the old doorbell. I went online and bought a wireless doorbell that is supposed to be for hearing impaired that lights up. The problem with this is it has a delayed action when someone rings it. But the new door chime I got at Home Depot does the work! Very happy with it. Volume can be adjusted, so I have it on loudest. You even get two choice of tones to use!
