Answer:
It attaches to the wall with a clear plastic mounting bracket that the push button is attached to. It is mounted using 2 screws located on the top and bottom of the push button mounting bracket. The screw locations are approximately 2 3/4" apart.

Answer:
The top clicks on once the base is attached, so the screw holes are approximately above and below the button. That's what is nice about this doorbell, the screws are hidden by the top that snaps on.

Answer:
The plastic base plate has pre-drilled openings for screw attachment.
Pull your wiring through the base plate, and screw plate into wall (the screws are approx. 2" apart)
Attach one wire to each post
Snap cover in place

Answer:
The doorbell comes with a faceplate that attaches onto the surface where you want to put the doorbell. I would say that the holes are about 1.5 inches apart.

Answer:
This wired push button has screws to attach it to the wall or surface near your door. The screw holes will need to be 1-11/16" (1.6875") apart.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not quite what I thought it would be... The description says "Halo", which would indicate that it will have a glowing light surrounding the button. It does not exactly have the 'halo" effect so much as ... a light leak that glows all around it. It COULD have but as it is, it just makes a little light in the middle and through the transparent base plate. It's not BAD, but not quite as I visualized. Unless it's full dark out the top & bottom ends appear dark. The mounting setup is made of clear plastic and when installed, the unit does not sit flush/snug with the side of the house, the mounting bracket shows beneath it. This may be by design to allow the light to get out. Further, it's kind of rickety, not solid when mounted, giving me concern in it's longevity. It looks nice, clean lines, good color but could certainly use some tweaks in the light and mount. October 14, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nicest doorbell I love that no screws show and that it lights up. Installation was simple. December 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Look and Value Very well made and simple to install. It took me about 10 min. to replace the old one and install the new. October 14, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks amazing day and night! Love the look and feel. The light looks great at night. My only complaint is that the mounting plate is made of brittle plastic. It would be ok if you are mounting it on a flat, wooden surface. But if you tighten the 2 screws too tight it will crack the mount. My house is uneven stucco so I had to make a level surface with stucco patch and then used PL Locktite glue to attach the mount. Then used some caulking and paint and it looks great! February 4, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice style, poor quality and very over priced Was attracted to this sleek simple style of this with the back light around the button, but the mounting plate is flimsy plastic that the button assembly attaches to and it does not leave much room for the wires. Also the bulb burnt out after a few weeks. For this price the darn light should be an LED. Nice when it works, but way over priced. July 14, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good look to go with new door I am still blown away by the cost of this item but am satisfied with the look and functionality it. I was in need of making the upgrade quickly and had to pay the price. I was able to find something similar cheaper on Amazon. The installation of this particular item was easy enough and fit well onto the standard brick molding that comes on any new pre-hung exterior door. You need to use caution when mounting so you don't crack or break the plastic mounting bracket. If you are in a pinch you can't go wrong with this but if you have a couple of days I would recommend shopping online for a better price. January 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stylish and easy to install I wasn't too sure if I could install this by myself - but it actually was quite easy. Now I am going to keep going with all my other projects with confidence! June 2, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Third time could be a charm Our new house was finished in Spring of 2011. Both push buttons needed replacing within the first year and a half. The manager of the HD Electronic area, when hearing me explain my frustrations to a sales clerk, gave me 2 new ones. At $20.00 a piece, I was relieved I didn't have to pay for them myself. Fast forward to this Summer, and I'm replacing the buttons once again. This time it cost me $40.00. My wife loves the style, so going with another distributer was not an option. My electrician has guaranteed me that there's nothing wrong with the wiring, transformer, or chimes. November 11, 2014
