The replacement door bell was defective and did not work. I put a new battery in my old bell button and it worked fine. The battery was not the problem, because the new battery did not work in th ew new chime button.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by HappyNichols This Bell was a good match!
I purchased this bell for my mother's new house. I was looking for something that was not going to be expensive or time consuming for her. My little sister says it works really well. Without saying it I know my mom is happy simply because it is being used. This was a good purchase for me because I didn't think I would find anything that would match the front of her house inexpensively. AWESOME!!!

I own a business and we like to keep the door locked for security. I am a woman and not very good with electricity and the wireless system is perfect!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PZilla It did the trick
Worked like a champ without having to tinker with it. Battery & mounting screws included. Installed in a few seconds. Cosmetically, it looks a little cheezy; being plastic-on-plastic with a shiny brass-like finish on the base. No complaints about functionality, though. Great to have a working doorbell again.

Bought the Heath Zenith door chime. Mounted as per instructions. Front door works okay. Back door was intermittent and was prone to being pried of with children's fingers. Remounted it using screws and the button ceased to operate. Took it off and worked again, intermittently. Time to read the trouble shooting manual, with the aid of a magnifying glass. Lo and behold there I found the problem. Do Not Mount on Metal. How many door frames are made of metal these days. The Warning might have been some use if it was in the 'installation' section of the manual. Now I have a Heath/Zenith wireless door chime that works for the front door, cannot and will not work at the back door. But I do have two nice holes in the back door frame as reminder of my folly..
