I have this for years, works great. All of a sudden the light just shuts off by itself. So I have to get up and flip the switch, which seems like of loose..never have this problem before, could it be the battery needs to be replaced?

Answer:
I emailed mgf..was told that maybe someone in the area has the same light switch and to try to move to another outlet..which in my case is impossible...also you cannot change any frequency, they are set up at the factory..just wondering what is the range that someone can be on the same frequency?

Answer:
Since there are no electrical connections on the transmitter, it is not intended to mount to a 1-gang box. The transmitter is mounted to the wall with the provided wood screws and is powered by a 9-volt battery.

Answer:
The frequency code of the individual unit is random within the boxes the manufacturer ships. You may need to call directly to request a specific code. The frequency code is labeled on each individual unit.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Failed after a year Good concept but poor execution. Worked for about a year then failed. I would guess (hope) that this is the reason that Home Depot discontinued it. February 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by simple to install works great without needing to run wires this works great in areas that you do not want to run wires. August 27, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wireless Switch not that great This Switch can not be installed in a normal wall box. It is a complete package and must remain in the surface mount box that it comes in as that is where the battery box is. It can not be modified to fit in a normal switch box. The switch does not work like a normal switch because if you don't push it all the way down off may be up and on down and it will switch between up for on and up for off. It has a reasonable range and works most of the time but there is a delay. If you really need this thing to work every time without fail then don't buy it. If you need it as a novelty then it will work. Would be good for turning on and off a Christmas tree. February 25, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by mystery switch The switch worked well and was easy to setup. The wall toggle looked good and mounted easily. I was delighted with it . I used it in my garage to control a ceiling light plugged into the outlet by the door opener . However it has, after a month or two been turning itself on during the night will we sleep. It has happened repeatedly and the position of the toggle is always as I had left it . I will contact the mfger to see if there is a solution. i March 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super Solution! This was for our Grandson. His room had no overhead light. He is thrilled to flip the switch and have his floor lamp come on! January 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice. Works as it should through the floor into my basement. I have this mounted on a wall next to my entry door and it controls a unit in my basement. Works well but there is one thing that should be noted. There is no "On" or "Off" label on the switch and I mounted it so that it turned the circuit on when the switch was up. After a week or so the up position is now "Off" so it is a bit difficult to know if the system is on or off without looking. July 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what we were looking for After rearranging bedroom furniture we were looking for a way to have lamps turn on with a wall switch by the door. Certainly didn't want wires running along the base boards. This wireless switch outlet was easy to install and worked like a charm. Took a little time to get the right touch for the light to go on - you just barely touch it as opposed to flipping it like an ordinary switch. Excellent results. April 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product! I would recommend it to everyone. We were updating an older home. It had one plug in per room. You had to walk in and feel around in the dark for light switch. By using this simple project, we saved $100s of dollars having house rewired. Our house was built in the mid 70s and they did not put ceiling lights in the living room. With this production we have switch as you walk into the room and we are able to turn on the lamps. Great value for the money and simplicity of the product. May 15, 2012
