25", 31" & 37" sizes

Why is the 25" basin more expensive than the two larger sizes?
Asked by: Homer
Hi Homer, prices of items are subject to many factors including a national average set by our corporate office along with collaboration from our manufacturers and vendors, where the merchandise is being sold, the type of materials and labor used to create the product, the amount of stock of that particular model and other various, related aspects of online merchandising so unfortunately, if there is a price difference between the various models, we are not able to advise the exact reason. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.

what hardware is recommended for this sink? Reviews state that few drains will fit.

Please note all hardware required for this sink including drain and faucets.
Asked by: nolies
This vanity top has a 8" faucet spread, and the manufacture suggested you look at the link below. The proper drains are available for this vanity, they are called vessel sink drains.

Chance of a spontaneous glass failure

i heard temper glass should have a chance of breaking by itself due to something call Nickel Sulfide Inclusions, is this true? have you got a case for this product before?
Asked by: Anonymous
The manufacturer has advised: spontaneous breakage can occur in tempered glass typically due to nickel sulfide inclusions. However it can also happen as a result of damaging the glass during handling or installation. In an effort to mitigate the chances of this happening, we submit all of our glass products to a “heat soak” test in which the products are placed into a chamber that is super-heated. This forces products with the invisible nickel-sulfide inclusions to shatter and consequently isolates the defectives and removes them from the order before packaging. This has made a significant impact and lessened the cases of spontaneous breakage. Now I personally have worked here in the customer service department for Home Depot & Pegasus for 3.5 years and I myself have not heard of any reports of this type of breaking occurring with a vanity top. Thank you for your inquiry.

Customer Reviews

25 in. W Tempered Glass Vanity Top in White with White Basin is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but not perfect I read the rave reviews of this product and thought it couldn't be anything less than perfect. Well, it's quite nice, but it's far from perfect. Here's the list of issues I faced in installing it: (1) The first sample I received had defects that could be seen through the glass, which appeared to be clamp marks that had pushed through the bottom white layer (looks like ceramic, but might be plastic). Since the top is in fact transparent glass, the backing is the only thing that stops it from being see-through, and any defects in that backing are very visible through the glass top. Of course, returning a top like this is a huge hassle - instead of chancing a return via UPS, I drove this to my local Home Depot (and of course, the product isn't carried in stores, so you can't check one out before you buy). (2) Both the first sample I received and returned, and the second sample I actually installed, were concave. This means that the top simply will not sit flat on a vanity. It comes with leveling pads you can use, but this would leave a gap between the vanity and the top, allowing dust in, and also prevents the top from actually being secured to the vanity. Bad idea when it comes to knocking the plumbing out of place. I ended up needing to use large amounts of silicon to fill the gaps under the front end of the glass top. For reference, I mounted it on the Foremost Haven vanity, available on this website for just over $300. (3) The ease of cleaning of this top has been mentioned, but you should also know that glass comes with a huge downside - every drop of water that dries leaves water marks, which are clearly seen as shadows through the glass if your bathroom is well lit. This means you'll be constantly cleaning the top. (4) As for the drain issue - yes, you need a special umbrella-style non-overflow pop-up drain if you wish to plug the sink. I'm not sure, however, why people say you can't plug it at all. You can - it just doesn't have an overflow, so you have to make sure no kids figure out how to fill the basin. I used a Decolav model, which costs about $70 on this website. (5) The basin is quite shallow. I didn't realize this would make a difference, but I find that even with a relatively high and long faucet (the beautiful Delta Lahara - available on this website for about $220), I tend to bump my hands against the bottom of the sink when washing them. The basin is designed with a very gradual curve, so the back edge of the basin, where the faucent will actually be positioned, is only about half as deep as the center point. This is in contrast to many granite vanities, which appear to have much more "bowl-shaped" basins. Would I recommend this top? Yes, but only if you are aware that its "high style" comes with costs. I wouldn't choose this unless you are truly convinced that this is the look you're going for. It's more expensive than competing granite tops(especially considering the drain you'll need to buy), it may be challenging to install, and it requires constant cleaning to look its best.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from glass sink I really like the way this sink looks in my remodeled bath: sleek, stylish, and easy to clean. Downsides: * required a special pop-up drain that cost an extra $50 above the cost of the faucet. *pop-up drain leaves a space between the glass of the sink and the chrome drain apparatus so that things could slip down. To plug pop-up so sink retains water, press a button in the center of the drain. * there is no overflow hole in the sink. If you plug drain and let water run, the sink could overflow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique product at a decent price Installed this in a guest bathroom. Used lighting under the vanity to illuminate the sink as a night light. Install was straight forward, except for the drain. Bought a Danco simple grid drain without overflow and it did not fit because of the area around the hole. Needed to get a umbrella drain to cover the hole, and it's pretty big, but that's the only drain in stock that works. Both backsplash and side splash came damaged, so I had to wait to finish the project.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from beautiful but shallow careful not to buy a faucet with a high water drop, the sink is shallow and will splash out and make a mess...other wise is a very beautiful sink, exactly the look i was looking for

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful sink We remodeled our extra bath and used this pegasus vanity top on top of the Hampton 24 in. Birch Vanity Cabinet in Espresso. We couldn't be happier. It's super easy to install and looks beautiful in person. We did run into the same problem as another reviewer, that the drain stop is not large enough to cover the entire hole in the bottom of the basin. We purchased a pegasus faucet set hoping to avoid this problem, but the drain stop is still too narrow and we had to buy a replacement. Not a big deal, but something to consider.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful vanity top This picture does not do this justice, it's beautiful. I bought this vanity top for a white beadboard vanity cabinet. The installation is simple, it's easy to clean, it kind of keeps itself clean since water beads into the drain. I've got nothing but raves about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome sink This is a georgous sink. I love it. You can't plug it because there is no overflow outlet, but that's not an issue for me. It wasn't a cheap sink, but it is luminous and lovely.
