Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Sink I read many of your reviews prior to ordering this sink, but had to order it anyway. It was too pretty to pass up. Every bit as elegant as granite, and a nice change. While we did encounter many of the same installation problems as a few of you mentioned, most were easily overcome. (and none of them were mentioned to my handy husband installer prior to my purchase. haha) We DID have to modify our cabinet to fit the sink, thus losing a top drawer, but it was worth it. (Had he bought me the new cabinet I wanted, this could have been avoided….) The glass is NOT crooked, as someone had mentioned, and you do NOT have to sand your cabinet! There are shims that come with the sink top if it doesn't sit flush. My husband quickly realized a typical drain couldn't possibly work. (Had I forgotten to mention this to him? LOL) A pop up umbrella type drain is necessary. You do NOT have to order this through Pegasus for $80+. The "other" large Box Store has this in stock with prices starting at $13. My husband chose the $30 model, as he felt it was a better quality. He liked this type of drain so much, he went and bought another for our daughter's bathroom. Would highly recommend based on looks! P.S. Do Not make yourself crazy and try to match your paint color to this sink top. Pictures on Home Depot site are a true "glass" color. Mine came out looking more yellow. Disregard this. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Compliment galore! Everyone that steps into my bathroom gives positive feedback on this sink. Just be sure that the faucet you get is made for a sink without an overflow. October 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by amazing! this sink is amazing! It is the perfect aqua color and it definitely makes a statement. just remember that you have to purchase a drain without drain holes. also a great price-looks much more expensive. October 19, 2011

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful, but not perfect I read the rave reviews of this product and thought it couldn't be anything less than perfect. Well, it's quite nice, but it's far from perfect. Here's the list of issues I faced in installing it: (1) The first sample I received had defects that could be seen through the glass, which appeared to be clamp marks that had pushed through the bottom white layer (looks like ceramic, but might be plastic). Since the top is in fact transparent glass, the backing is the only thing that stops it from being see-through, and any defects in that backing are very visible through the glass top. Of course, returning a top like this is a huge hassle - instead of chancing a return via UPS, I drove this to my local Home Depot (and of course, the product isn't carried in stores, so you can't check one out before you buy). (2) Both the first sample I received and returned, and the second sample I actually installed, were concave. This means that the top simply will not sit flat on a vanity. It comes with leveling pads you can use, but this would leave a gap between the vanity and the top, allowing dust in, and also prevents the top from actually being secured to the vanity. Bad idea when it comes to knocking the plumbing out of place. I ended up needing to use large amounts of silicon to fill the gaps under the front end of the glass top. For reference, I mounted it on the Foremost Haven vanity, available on this website for just over $300. (3) The ease of cleaning of this top has been mentioned, but you should also know that glass comes with a huge downside - every drop of water that dries leaves water marks, which are clearly seen as shadows through the glass if your bathroom is well lit. This means you'll be constantly cleaning the top. (4) As for the drain issue - yes, you need a special umbrella-style non-overflow pop-up drain if you wish to plug the sink. I'm not sure, however, why people say you can't plug it at all. You can - it just doesn't have an overflow, so you have to make sure no kids figure out how to fill the basin. I used a Decolav model, which costs about $70 on this website. (5) The basin is quite shallow. I didn't realize this would make a difference, but I find that even with a relatively high and long faucet (the beautiful Delta Lahara - available on this website for about $220), I tend to bump my hands against the bottom of the sink when washing them. The basin is designed with a very gradual curve, so the back edge of the basin, where the faucent will actually be positioned, is only about half as deep as the center point. This is in contrast to many granite vanities, which appear to have much more "bowl-shaped" basins. Would I recommend this top? Yes, but only if you are aware that its "high style" comes with costs. I wouldn't choose this unless you are truly convinced that this is the look you're going for. It's more expensive than competing granite tops(especially considering the drain you'll need to buy), it may be challenging to install, and it requires constant cleaning to look its best.
