After I have punctured the tip and am finished with my project, assuming there is still product left in the tube, how do I store it/cap it?

There is a product to cover the end, I just use a nail. Store in neutral conditions. No heat or cold.

You could try a caulk tube cap that Home Depot sells to keep it sealed.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not good for wood or Hardi Reading the other reviews, I'm not sure what I am missing, but this stuff was horrible. I bought it to seal a joint between two sheets of Hardisiding (the side of my chimney) where the caulk had dried up and water was leaking into the house. It was raining, and I bought this because it was supposed to adhere to wet surfaces. Well, it was barely drizzling and I even wiped the area down first with a dry towel, but I could not get it to stick. The only thing it stuck to was the top of the nozzle, curling up on itself. When I tried to smoosh it in to the gap with my finger, it stuck to my finger just fine as well, but I could not get it to go in the crack. After gently dropping a long bead onto the area, I touched one part of it, it stuck to my finger, and the entire string came up. I gave up and used regular caulk. October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to work with, an effective sealant Used this Sealand to make repairs to the metal flashing around a fireplace that was leaking badly. The sealant was easy to work with in damp, 40 degree temps. It adhered easily to the metal and stayed pliable for the time needed to apply, adjust, and smooth. Stopped the leak totally and we have had two rain events with no leaks detected- we have been looking hard. We are certain enough in the effectiveness of the product that we will now make the finished ceiling repairs inside of the home. January 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Good adhesive but not for wet jobs as advertised. Have to work fast this product sets up fast. December 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best caulk Had some leaks in a sun room roof, fixed it instantly. Easy to use. It is expensive but really works. January 12, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great flashing / roofing sealant This product performs as well as a Geocel 2300 for the tough sealing jobs. December 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CLEAR ALL-PURPOSE PATCH This clear patch seals well. Perfect for exposed nails. December 8, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Product was adequate. I am overall happy with the product. I said it would dry crystal clear, but dries with a yellowish tint. It is on an exterior addition i added, so wasn't a huge concern. April 30, 2014
