Do you have to use a trowel to apply this to the roof ?

Do you have to use a trowel to apply this to the roof ?
Asked by: Blabbs
It all depends on size of repair. I use a trowel, a brush (any old stiff brush) or a large squeegee. Key to easy spread is a WARM product 80-90 degrees .

Will this work on tip out mobile home seam?

I have a leak where the tip out joins the main mobile home. Will this work effectively to stop that type of leak? This seam is about is about ten feet long and thinking it would be best to coat then whole length.

We have a large bitumen asphalt flat roof and have leaks at the junction/flashing where several steel support beams go through the roof to hold machinery up. After watching a number of YouTube & Henry website videos on how to correctly patch the leaks, we purchased the Henry 208. We brushed the area well, and then troweled the wet patch on. We subsequently had 2 weeks of hot, dry weather (we're in Florida) and the wet patch was still soft as when we first put it on - did not cure at all. Then the next day we had a few hours of heavy rain and all the leaks sprung again. The next day I went up to look at the wet patch and the rain drops had eroded the match, causing pocks where the rain seeped in as if it weren't patched at all. I called up Henry to ask if it's something I did wrong, or if I was using the wrong product. The tech support was very unhelpful. Said it wasn't the product and that it was my fault and the only thing I could do was call a professional roofer. I explained I watched the videos on the Henry website on application and selecting the right material and was meticulous & liberal about its correct application, and the CSR again repeated I needed a professional roofer. Would not recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works AMAZINGLY well!!! Hard cold facts... we need a new roof but can't afford it right now. Some of the roofing has slipped and bunched and cracked (it's a rolled roof) and we had some really bad leaks. This is the rainy season here in FL and something like cool coat takes several sunny days to cure so not an option at this point. It was a little messy so I recommend using some medical gloves and a tile trowel to apply. It's easy to spread, fills in the cracks and holes and best part is it WORKS! I mean really WORKS as in no more leaks. So grateful that this is out there and affordable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product. You get what you pay for I had a leak in my florida room and I tried a number of different coatings and sealers. Like most people I bought the cheaper solutions only to be disappointed as the room would evently start leaking (many of the solutions would crack only after a few weeks). I just happened to see the Henry rep at the Punta Gorda Home Depot. He told me about this product and even came out to the house to help me apply it! Now that is service. Haven't had a leak sense. It's worth the extra few bucks to buy this product and have peace of mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for me. Used this to patch a leaky metal three seasons room. Temperature was about 50 degrees and dry. Worked very well. Weights heavy on the trowel, so get a metal trowel that is sturdy. I applied to roof and it gave me the feeling of "liquid shingles". Checked after 20 hours and it was still soft, but it rained for 3 days straight and not a single leak. Watch video to see how bad the leak was prior to application. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from sticks to anything Be careful, this stuff sticks like there's no tomorrow, and it does NOT wash off easily. But hey, that's why it does the job. No more leaks!
