The best product to use is our Henry 887 Tropi-Cool 100% Silicone Roof Coating. It has a Lifetime Warranty and is Lifetime Ponding Water Resistant. You could use the Henry 107 Asphalt Emulsion as long as you coat over it with Henry 687 Enviro-White or Henry 587 Dura-Brite. Answer:
Lamont-Yes, this would be such a product. It will form a water proof seal after it has fully cured, typically after 7-10 days. Please let us know if you have any additional questions and thank you for putting your trust in the Henry Company and The Home Depot.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product if you know how to use it. I fixed and overhaul a few flat roofs in Arizona. 1) Fix all the softspots first 2) clean, mob using TSP cleaner and rinse 3) Apply one thick coat or 2 coat at bad areas and let dry for a week 4) This is just a base coat. so I applied silver coating 5) It usually hold up at least 5 years. You can apply silver coating in some areas for touch up and maintenance. 6) One of the reviewer (Leon) coated the whole roof with this but probably did not use any coating. The black coating will crack under the sun. I highly recommend this base coating as a base coat only with silver coating coating on top. October 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked for leaky roof I used this product to repair a leaky rubberized asphalt roll roof. It is a flat roof with little pitch and minor ponding of water. I first tried to fill and level the low spots with the solvent based fibered asphalt and still had leaks. I then used this water based product as a primer and bsae for #587 white roof paint and did the whole roof, I reinforced with the recomended polyester roofing fabric and top coated with two coats of the paint. After six months and quite a few thunder storms and heavy rains I am confident this roof will last many years. No more leaks at all. As an added benefit this system reduces interior and roof temperatures. November 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product works as described. Saved us!! We were leasing a house and the downstairs flooded a couple of times and we were desperate!! Found product at Home Depot and talked with a contractor while I was checking out and he confirmed the superiority of this product. We had another flooding incident but the water did not come in where we had applied to the floor and 1 foot up the walls. Came into another room. Easy to apply and it WORKS!! We are presently moving again and this time leasing an old farmhouse and the owner has no idea what to do with basement. I do and I am sealing before moving in!! October 10, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Multiple Uses Product I was looking for something to coat my fence posts so that the wood wouldn't deteriorate as quickly. I found this in Home Depot. It coated easily. I used this product for my foundation wall also. I used a thick brush to apply. August 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far works good Easy to spread with push broom. Installed on Fri.it rained on Sun.had no leaks. It took (2) 4.7gal to do 240sq.ft.on roll roofing. August 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Different uses I used this product vice plastic to seal our base flooring before laying down hardwood oak. Worked perfect. Not only does the sealer prevent water and moisture from protruding up into the hardwood but it also acts as a grout for the hardwood. May 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great when used as directed. Please read the directions. Depending on the weather, it may take several days to dry and become waterproof. I used it during the warm, dry season. A week later, it was set and I painted over it with white roofing paint. It’s been a year now and its still in great shape. I'm going back to this product to do more repairs. BTW, it cleans up with water; no solvents needed. July 23, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not for Roof Leakage Repair This product is not for leakage repair for sure. I've properly fixed all seams with elasto caulk and then coated my roof with this stuff twice. It was bleeding oil for a couple of months, then it cracked and started pealing. My roof looks like alligator skin now. What a waste of money. You are better off with silicone based white coating than this. December 29, 2012
