How much do I need

My roof Is 16 feet wide By 6 2 feet long
Asked by: Bubba
Per the label, Henry's 107 should be applied at the rate of 3 Gallon per square (where a square is 100 square foot). Using this coverage rate, a 4.75 gallon pail will cover 258 sq. ft. That's for a single coat. As noted by others, Bubba's 16' x 6.2' roof is 99 sq. ft. He can expect to get two full coats from one pail.

I noticed that it states that this product can be applied to a damp roof free of ponding water. I was wondering if I can apply it immediately after rinsing off the roof and scrubbing the area with detergent where ponding water was, or would this be considered "wet' not "damp" and I should wait a day?
Asked by: Thomas
You should be fine if there is no standing water. Since it sounds like you have some ponding water areas, our best option would be our Henry 887HS Tropi-Cool 100% Silicone Roof Coating. This will waterproof your roof and you don't have to fix all the ponding water areas if there's nothing structural going on. You will also want to apply this with no standing water. This also offers a Lifetime Transferable Warranty. For more info, check out www.henry.com or contact our product support at 800-486-1278. Can this install over a flat roof previously coated with Henry 287 and patched with Henry 208R? The roof was originally asphalt-emulsion coated, and then was given a Henry 287 reflective coating several years ago. It has had leaks and patches since then, and now I want to restore its surface with new asphalt emulsion (Henry 107), fill any ponding spots with Henry 107 and 181, and coat over all of that with Henry 587. I'm uncertain if the prior, weathered coating of Henry 287 will interfere with a new coat of Henry 107 and cause failure.
Asked by: smoke
Yes, you can apply our Henry 107 Asphalt Emulsion over a previously coated Henry 287 roof. Just make sure to follow the roof prep/cleaning instructions on the label. If you decide to do this, our Henry 687 Enviro-White Roof Coating would be a better option to use for your final coat. It's the brightest white coating maintaining 85% reflectivity after it ages due to our Dirt Pick-Up Resistance (DPR) Technology. Think of it like Teflon-nothing sticks to it. Now, since you have water issues, the best option would be our Henry 887HS Tropi-Cool 100% Silicone Roof Coating. You would not need to use the Henry 107 with this coating. This coating does the waterproofing and reflects the UV rays like the other white coatings while offering a Lifetime Warranty. If you have any major leaks, such as by vents, skylights, etc, then I recommend using our Henry 885 Tropi-Cool 100% Silicone Seam & Roof Repair to patch those areas, then coat everything with our Henry 887HS Tropi-Cool. Will any Henry products act as a waterproof membrane and hold thinset for tile installation outside?

Asked by: Korn
You can use our waterproofing products, but tile application should be attached to a wire mesh lath, not directly to a membrane. For more info, check out www.henry.com or contact our product support at 800-486-1278. Thanks for putting your trust in the Henry Company and Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product if you know how to use it. I fixed and overhaul a few flat roofs in Arizona. 1) Fix all the softspots first 2) clean, mob using TSP cleaner and rinse 3) Apply one thick coat or 2 coat at bad areas and let dry for a week 4) This is just a base coat. so I applied silver coating 5) It usually hold up at least 5 years. You can apply silver coating in some areas for touch up and maintenance. 6) One of the reviewer (Leon) coated the whole roof with this but probably did not use any coating. The black coating will crack under the sun. I highly recommend this base coating as a base coat only with silver coating coating on top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for leaky roof I used this product to repair a leaky rubberized asphalt roll roof. It is a flat roof with little pitch and minor ponding of water. I first tried to fill and level the low spots with the solvent based fibered asphalt and still had leaks. I then used this water based product as a primer and bsae for #587 white roof paint and did the whole roof, I reinforced with the recomended polyester roofing fabric and top coated with two coats of the paint. After six months and quite a few thunder storms and heavy rains I am confident this roof will last many years. No more leaks at all. As an added benefit this system reduces interior and roof temperatures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great when used as directed. Please read the directions. Depending on the weather, it may take several days to dry and become waterproof. I used it during the warm, dry season. A week later, it was set and I painted over it with white roofing paint. It’s been a year now and its still in great shape. I'm going back to this product to do more repairs. BTW, it cleans up with water; no solvents needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multiple Uses Product I was looking for something to coat my fence posts so that the wood wouldn't deteriorate as quickly. I found this in Home Depot. It coated easily. I used this product for my foundation wall also. I used a thick brush to apply.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product works as described. Saved us!! We were leasing a house and the downstairs flooded a couple of times and we were desperate!! Found product at Home Depot and talked with a contractor while I was checking out and he confirmed the superiority of this product. We had another flooding incident but the water did not come in where we had applied to the floor and 1 foot up the walls. Came into another room. Easy to apply and it WORKS!! We are presently moving again and this time leasing an old farmhouse and the owner has no idea what to do with basement. I do and I am sealing before moving in!!
