Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, Easy Release only works on water-based adhesives (latex or acrylic). This would not work on solvent based or urethane adhesives.

Got this product to take off sticky residue from floor tiles on basement stairs.Told about this product by a paint associate at HD when I told her about my problem. This worked much better than what I had used previously so exceeded my expectations. Its ability to left off sticky residue is good but found that needed to let it set on residue for longer than I thought. Using a scrubbie to apply and scrub the residue helped lift off the goo. Clean up with a clean cloth. Found needed to reapply to get off residue. Cleaned up with a wet clean rag.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from REMOVE NOTHING please don't buy this "remover" because it doesn't work at all. Even using it pure doesn't work. Aplied as per instructions and just about 1/32" of the glue came off. Buy Goof Off Pro Strength instead, smell strong but wear a mask and 20 min your all done

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Completely useless If you're looking for a strong chemical aroma for your home, look no further. This stuff did nothing but stink up the house. I followed the directions exactly and it didn't make getting the old glue up any easier.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the money This product is not worth the $10 you pay for it. A bottle if Awesome all purpose cleaner you can purchase for $1 does a much better job removing adhesive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product - Know Your Adhesive This product works extremely well, to ensure it works well for you there are two important things to keep in mind. 1) The fluid must be able to get to the glue you want removed. If there is a backing on your tiles/vinyl/floor covering you must penetrate it to allow the fluid to reach the glue. Cutting through with a knife is the easiest way. 2) The adhesive must be water based. If the adhesive is not water based this stuff will not work. It'll just leave a bunch of mildly caustic chemicals on your floor. If you adhere (Ha!) to those two guidelines this stuff will save you many, many hours of horrible scraping.
