Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, Easy Release only works on water-based adhesives (latex or acrylic). This would not work on solvent based or urethane adhesives.

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not much help Didn't seem to break down glue resen before drying out. Had to keep applying it with little results. August 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product - Know Your Adhesive This product works extremely well, to ensure it works well for you there are two important things to keep in mind. 1) The fluid must be able to get to the glue you want removed. If there is a backing on your tiles/vinyl/floor covering you must penetrate it to allow the fluid to reach the glue. Cutting through with a knife is the easiest way. 2) The adhesive must be water based. If the adhesive is not water based this stuff will not work. It'll just leave a bunch of mildly caustic chemicals on your floor. If you adhere (Ha!) to those two guidelines this stuff will save you many, many hours of horrible scraping. May 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Product I used this to remove adhesive left by tiles that I took up off a natural wooden floor in my front hallway. The tiles had been on for twenty years. This product when used as directed took all the adhesive up without much mess or problems! I love it. I purchased it because I saw the product on display and the young lady in that dept. told me not to buy it because she said it didn't work... so I'm happy I used my instinct because it worked perfectly for me and when I had the floor refinishing folks in they were amazed as well as they were doubtful about what the condition of the flooring underneath would be like, however, the floor turned out like new along with my living room and dining room floor - no color difference, no dying needed the hallway was sanded and sealed like the rest of the floors and it totally blends. Before and after sanding photos are attached. September 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by served the purpose manufacturer should consider selling smaller quantity for DIY homeowner who only needs the product for a small area. I only used 1/4 cup of the product to removed the adhesive and I have a bottle sitting there that I wont be using anytime soon. March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A little bit of patience and this stuff does the rest Dilute at 4 to 1 as instructed and it goes a long way with no harsh odor. March 1, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by wasted money and worse a lot of time I used this at the recommended strength and double strength. The subflooring buckled but the glue didn't come off. I had to use a paint scraper for hours. horrible product recommended by the "flooring specialist" who I don't believe had any practical experience. She was 20yrs old at most. February 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good product does what is expected from this product, easy apply and easy clean up. February 10, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by If you can find nothing else Bought it to remove adhesive from the concreat floor where I just pried up the tiles that were professionally installed 20yrs ago. Following directions for use will make you mad. First: Use a dremmel multi tool to get the tiles up. Then use this product at 50/50 strength. Pour it on the adhesive. Let sit an hour. Do not let it dry. You'll just have to start over. Now the work starts. Use a metal paint scraper or like tool. Scrape the wet adhesive up. Then repeat as necessary. Last: use heavy grade steel wool to scrap the rest of the residue up. Once dry; wash floor with water to finishing cleaning. February 21, 2013
