Answer:
I don't know about this cement specifically, but firebrick and cement has a high aluminum content, and this may leech into the food.
I would not suggest this for any direct contact with food, especially any that may be slightly acidic.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Works but.... Purchased item to build outdoor brick oven. Easy to apply and work with but found it difficult to cure with heating. Although with heat product seemed fully cured, if not cured completely product becomes soft again when water is introduced. July 12, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent very pliable, cracked when high heat applied around chimney January 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not for fireplaces I bought this to repair a few pot holes in the floor of my fireplace. Not being a furnace, I couldn't start firing it up gradually as the directions stated. So after it was dry and i started a fire, the air pockets in it popped creating new pot holes in the floor of my fireplace. The product may be fine for it's intended use in repair of furnaces or stoves. December 9, 2015
