The cork laminate flooring looks great. We like the variegated appearance together with a plank effect. We did our entryway and liked it so much we're doing the whole house to replace carpet. The surface feels soft underfoot and footfalls make very little noise, unlike typical laminate. The installation instructions state that no underlayment is needed, but poly sheeting is needed over concrete. I found it impossible to get 6 mil poly sheeting to lay perfectly flat, leaving numerous wrinkles throughout, and since the cork planks are slightly flexible, we could here plastic rippling sound as we walked across the floor. So I installed Eco Cork Foam underlayment, which undoubtedly helps with sound and soft feel. Unlike some laminate flooring, installation does not require that each plank to be tapped into the end of the adjacent plank, Instead the plank drops into a notch in the adjacent plank. This design simplifies installation. However, the edges don't fit flush 100% of the time, and it takes a whack of a soft blow hammer to get the edges to seat. I had a few places where I didn't get the joint secure and now the gap is growing. As others have mentioned, the machined interlocking portion at the edges of the planks are brittle and small chunks will break off during shipping and handling. I don't feel it's enough to affect the security of the installation. Still and all I think we made the right choice at the price point, especially when compared to a true wood floor, which I think is comparable in feel and sound as opposed to a laminate floor (and we have installed a 12 mm laminate floor on Eco Cork Foam in one room).

When we purchased this floor, I was a little concerned. This was quite a departure from our previous solid wood floor purchases, but we wanted to tackle something new. This was just the thing. The floor is a breeze to install and goes down extremely quickly. The fact that it is cork above and below is great for both sound absorption and wear & tear resistance. The floor has just a little bit of give to make if feel a little warmer and more inviting than a traditional wood floor. Another benefit is that with this particular style, there is very little waste.

Looks beautiful in my small kitchen remodel. I'm in the kitchen a lot and I need something underfoot that has some "give" to help my feet and back. This flooring is delivering - it's much more comfortable than my last kitchen which was tile. I went with Millstead's (Tarkett, right?) cork because it is supposed to off-gas less nasty stuff too. Some movers did already abrade it a bit when they moved the fridge in for me and I am disappointed with that. I need to find out if I need to seal it back up but it's not anything visually obvious - In fact, because of all the natural variation in the cork, and additionally the way this "cobblestone" style is designed, not much is going to show on it. I really love the look. It also seems true to style and era for this smaller 1940's kitchen. I like the Retro.

Only 4 stars overall because there was no cleaning care instructions with the product. The package info tells you to call a toll free number for recommended cleaner. Thought that was weird.
Otherwise, product was perfectly milled, installed quickly, and out of 91 boxes there was only 1 plank that was a clear factory defect. Can't give 5 stars yet on quality until I get some feedback on durability from the homeowner.

Good looking, high quality material. Like most snap and click flooring it was a little challenging fitting the last pieces against the wall.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jumbo Very disappointed with this product.
This was a big disappointment. material was not uniformly straight. some of the tongues were broken off. It did not butt up right. When the planks were not curved they went together very nice, but that was not the norm. I did finish the floor but if I had it to do again I should have returned the whole mess. The concept is great. It is just that the fit is not perfect. To me it is in the milling of the planks. It looks like they were not inspected at all and that perhaps the milling was off kilter or something. I never complained to the company because the floor was all down and my wife said, "I guess we can live with it." I didn't want the hassle of trying to return it after I had put it all down. I am reminded of it every day when I walk in my stocking feet on the floor and feel the unevenness and the gaps in it.
