Product Overview

Cork flooring combines the beauty of a natural and truly renewable material with the comfort of a cushioned, warm and silent surface. It is highly sustainable since the cork oak trees are not cut. Only the outer bark is harvested, and it will grow again each 9 years. The new narrow and beveled plank format creates a more appealing and elegant look than traditional cork floors that are made in large panels. Cork flooring is warm underfoot, comfortable and soft to walk on, anti-microbial, fire and moisture resistant and provides unrivalled noise reduction properties. Installation is made easy with the precision milled glueless locking system. This floor features an integrated underlayment made out of cork. prefinished cork requires no additional sealing after installation. Easy maintenance: simply vacuum. Warm to the touch and resilient, cork floors are a great addition to your home. Ideal for all levels of installation. This floor qualifies for 4 LEED points: (1) EQ4.3 (Indoor Environmental Quality)-Low Emitting, (2) MR4.1 (Materials & Resources)-Recycled Content, (3) MR 6-Rapidly Renewable Materials, (4) ID 1-Innovation in Design.

Answer:
Clean up any spills promptly to avoid damaging the flooring.
Excessive liquid (water leek, etc.) will most likely cause irreversable damage as this flooring is not water-proof.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great, easy to install Overall, I'd buy this product again and am very pleased with how it looks. It looks expensive and high quality once installed. My only feedback for this product is that the tongue and groove portion of the planks are somewhat cheap and tend to break or flake apart when installing. I don't expect this to be a problem now that it's all together as a unit but was a bit surprised at this on an otherwise high quality product. April 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very satisfied with the product I had a small area in a pantry that I wanted to put cork floor in. I had 27 SF and all of the other products came in boxes of 22.5 SF so I would have had to waste almost an entire box. Then I found this and it came in 10.92 SF per box so 3 boxes were perfect for my job. They came UPS and one box was damaged and the tongue on the end was almost broken off but used those pieces up against a wall where we could cut them off so it didn't matter. I am very pleased and my husband and I did it in a few hours. October 29, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks good, smells good, feels good. Installed a couple days ago so not sure how well it will wear. Hoping for the best! The subfloor is very old and wonky, so the cork is both good and bad for that: good because the cork underside absorbs small bumps. Bad because joints flex where the floor dips. Over all I think it will settle down with wear and if it doesn't I'll get over it. Repairing the subfloor was not an option. This product was good for my application because it is only 3/8 thick. It is somewhat flexible. This is my second cork floor and they do seem to be warmer than other floors. Buying online was cheaper than buying in the store. November 6, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this flooring This is installed over a concrete floor with radiant heat. The floor feels soft and holds the heat wonderfully. January 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install, looks great We haven't had this down very long but so far are very pleased with the flooring. It goes down easily, as you'd expect with a floating floor, and looks rich. Water's been beading, not soaking in, leaving ample time to wipe up spills. Coupla things to caution you about: 1) If the truck driver tosses the boxes in a pile, some boards will break. 2) The suggested transition strip doesn't match. It's a nice contrast, if that's what you're looking for, but I got a closer color out of the bin at my local store. April 28, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love the floor, but packaging is not sufficient for shipping. We installed this flooring in our bedroom and I love the look and feel of it, and how much warmer it is compared to tile or bamboo. Loading furniture in was a bit stressful, for fear of damaging the floor getting the heavier pieces in place, but we managed it successfully. We'll see how the floor looks when those pieces are moved down the line I suppose! Our contractor said it was fairly easy to install, although he felt the overall thickness was a bit on the skinny side. April 3, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It's a good value. I'm very pleased with the way it looks. Quite satisfied. I answered the rating questions above. I had a professional install it so I can't exactly say what the ease of installation was. Because the cork floor has only been down about a month, I can't say anything about the quality or value. I just know that it looks terrific. Also, I received the shipment very quickly which was a plus. November 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great on the floor! Installed 315sq. Ft. And used 33 boxes. Looks great on the floor! Installation was easy and didnt require using a tapping tool. Each piece snaped in with little effort. February 13, 2014
