Product Overview

This durable prefinished engineered click real oak floor is easy to install. Simply engage the long sides at an angle and press down. The flooring is crafted of five layers of solid wood permanently bonded together in a cross-ply design. No HDF or other fiber boards are utilized. The stability of this construction provides superior strength, humidity resistance, and installation options (glue-less, floating or glue down). The aluminum oxide finish provides 10 times more abrasion resistance than ordinary urethane finishes. Our flooring is proudly crafted in the U.S.A. from wood grown and responsibly harvested in the U.S.A. Our company has been manufacturing wood floors to exacting standards in Johnson City, Tenn., for over 110 years.

It's actually pretty nice once you get the groove. The flooring itself looks great. I will say it does damage easily so it's not "hardwood" as the sales people would have you believe. I found the colors and grains to match up and make a great looking floor. I didn't find any defective boards and I bought a pallet at my local store and had 3 shipped to me. Some Heritage Mill and some Millstead. Although the names are different the product is identical. When installing, I found it easiest to use a small piece of flooring and a hammer to tap into place worked the best. Do no waste your money on the Roberts kit. Using the flooring is nice because the board you are tapping will also lock and lay flat letting you know everything is fully seated. The tiny pieces can go together by hand but a hammer will be needed for most of it. When using a board to tap, it will be destroyed so be ready for some clean up. I used one 18 inch or so piece and did the entire floor. A worthy sacrifice. That board is only an inch thick in some spots, it will splinter and destruct so be ready. The only thing I missed due to poor instructions was it tells you to start with the tongue against the wall. Now you have to space this as it's a floating floor. Between the spacing and the tongue your baseboard will not cover the gap. Now I have to make itty bitty fill pieces. I wish the instructions said to rip down the tongue on the starting row. Aside from that I like this floor.

Quarter inch spacers to allow for expansion as usual. This went into a guest bedroom. I used a dead blow to coax pieces together, making sure all were snug before moving to the next row. I did have to remove a few rows and go back to a piece that had separated, but that was no problem--just a bit frustrating.. Then I transitioned to the hall. this is where it got interesting. This is only 3/8th thick. I DIDN'T float it. I installed it to the sub floor. I reversed the installation method: tongue toward the wall and installed left to right, again using the dead blow to snug pieces. This came out so good I'm going to do the master bedroom next.

I install it in my living room, hallway, and dinning room in 2010. installed it in the kitchen and the breakfast area in 2017. There is a very slight color difference. The newer flooring is a little darker. This could be caused by the older flooring being exposed to the sun. Very well pleased with the product.

I am happy with the look of the floors. I had it professionally installed in three (3) bedrooms and they did a float install with an underlayment. It feels good under foot and it matches the existing floors in other areas. I recommend the look and feel of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful The floor looks better than wr expected - just beautiful. You should put felt under furniture to keep from denting. They're new, so hopefully they will wear well. We have kids and animals. We put it in an open concept 1st floor- kitchen, dining area, living room and foyer. Looks like a new house!
