Came delivered with a small piece of plastic broken, small hole. Didn't open and guy came out to install is when I saw it. A little too late.
:( other than the unit having a visual defect I love it and believe my dog does too. Installation for brick installation leave to the professionals.

My husband installed our new automatic pet door yesterday. Both of our wiener dogs quickly learned how to activate the door to go out and come back in. One of our dogs is 14 (people years) so you can teach an old dog new tricks! I posted a video on Facebook showing Shadow going outside using the new door and I received many positive comments for your product!

This is what a pet door is meant to be. A couple of suggestions to the makers for upgrades though while not backing off my original statement are a full 2inch thick slide window, through the door grade8 bolts with anti removal heads and if you really want elaborate make one with inner and outer sliders with a 24 or longer inch tunnel to really up the energy savings and make it REALLY hard to breach. As it is for the price point not every one may see the need but then.... If you want something you will be really happy with and feel reasonably secure this is as far as one need look.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by PahrumpRanger The ups and Downs are finally Gone
This was bought more for us than our two pet dogs. It saves the endless getting up to let them out or in. The device seems to be reliable but there are some bad points as well as the good. The installation does not mention the importance of locating the door near a stud so your screws have something to bite into. The door will not operate if screwed into the wall too tight. The inner tunnel is vital if going through a wall, and I had to order it and then wait for it to be delievered. The battery is not included. Overall you can spend an additional 50 dollars on necessary extras. Overall the company could represent better.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jmd1 LOVE THIS!!!
This door works exactly as described. Don't waste your time or money on the flap versions that work for a while but look terrible and are inconsistent. My husband installed it in the wall that goes out to the deck. It took him less than an hour. He also needed the insert piece which was a little extra and well worth it. The only thing I was hesitant about was the collar that came with the device. It only connects with a little D ring. I made a parachute-knot collar with a real clip and weaved the sensor thing into it so I would be more comfortable that it would stay on securely. Our pup uses it consistently and only hesitated for a moment at first and then when he figured out what it was, and got a couple treats, he never hesitated again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GroundControl Unbelievable purchase!
The door was simple to install after cutting a hole in the interior sheetrock, then in the exterior stucco, both using a Sawzall. Just make sure and use a stud finder to make the opening between studs. After installation, using the optional tunnel, the unit works perfectly. The two dogs took to the door immediately and were going in and out all day! My daughter is relieved that the dogs know to go outside by themselves to go potty. This door is amazing!

This is a life saver for us. Our new dog would not push through the flap on the magnetic dog door we had. This one was easy to install and works perfectly every time. I like the adjustable range for the sensors. The off switch is nice if I want them to stay in or outside for a while.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RSSD Brought us back from the brink of insanity
This door has brought us back from the brink of insanity. Our dog was making us crazy, she would want to go in or out about every 2 minutes and she would start barking every time which was making us crazy. With the new door she goes in or out whenever she pleases and dosen't make us crazy any more.
