Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by For our basement We have been using the dehumidifier for about a month now, and it is working fine. Our last dehumidifier didn't last more than one season, and we are hoping for better from this unit. The controls are easy to manipulate and read. As indicated in the specifications, the fan runs constantly; it is just a matter of whether the compressor is also running. It is not super noisy, but it is definitely not a quiet machine either. The water bucket is nicely sized, but it is not easy to remove. You basically pry it out with your fingertips because it has no handle or release lever. There is a narrow window running vertically up the water bucket, but you cannot see the water level so it is of no help. June 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by well priced work horse I am using this in my basement as a slow plumbing leak has created a musty situation and the large basement (concrete floor) earth/stone walls must be dried quickly. This machine is working very well drying things out. It's quiet, easy to operate and it shuts off when full. It is streamlined in size and has an easy carry handle and wheels. My friends and boyfriend are dying to borrow it for their houses! I wish I would have bought one with a larger reservoir so that I wouldn't haul it up and down stairs daily. It does have a hose on the back of the unit for draining but it doesn't work for my specific area. October 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Met and exceeded all my expitations. Solved my humidity problem that was very vexing. Ready to go out of the package. Just plug in the cord and watch it remove dripping from a very large window. April 7, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worked well...until warranty expired! Had unit for 13 months-Hisense won't honor warranty January 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Satisfied Quite easy to use - never even looked at the instructions. Easy to roll around and light enough to pick up and carry by the handle. Unit is reasonably quiet and unobtrusive. The water bucket is slightly odd to remove, there being no obvious place to grab it to slide it out but not a big deal. If I had it to do over again I would have bought the next higher capacity model. This sucker fills up in under 24 hours. June 11, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JUNK QUALITY by a terrible company Alright I originally bought a hisense dehumidifier and wasn't completely satisfied with it just because of the elctrical consumption. Anyhow I owned the dehumidifier for 15 months and the compressor stopped staying on. It would cycle on than immediately cut off. The back of the dehumidifier would get extremely hot when this would happen. Long story short it ended up being the compressor motor which failed and it would cost well over a 100 dollars to repair. I called customer support at HISENSE (their mission statement is QUALITY, SUPPORT, and WARRANTY!) The lady stated since it was a couple months over the warranty period there was nothing they could do no repair, fixes or discounts off a new dehumidifier available. I argued to speak with a manager to which they obliged and was told by her she would talk to the district manager to see if they could get me a new one. The District manager pretty much told me to go fly a kite and here I am 250 dollars out and a broken junk dehumidifier bought from a terrible company. One would think a 200+ dollar appliance would last for more than 15 months. I have had to bring my backup dehumidifier out which is a 10 year old frigidaire and it is doing the job HISENSE failed to do. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! November 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by everything I expected Easy to set up, good instructions and works as expected. No problems after several weeks of use. August 19, 2014
