Answer:
It plugs into the back of the dehumidifier next to the power cord. It is a quick connect fitting so you need no tools.
Good luck. Word of advice,.. keep the air filter cleaned weekly.

How to keep the pump working.

My pump stopped working, so I took the unit apart to fix it. The take apart was not easy, but I found the problem was that algae and dust clogged a screen on the inlet to the pump. With the screen plugged the pump would run dry and become very loud. The water simply drained to the bucket instead. Now when the screen starts to plug I add about half a cup of bleach to the pan under the evaporator (the finned unit where water condenses). This cleans the drain pan and screen for another few months. I add the bleach with a 1/8" tube siphon, which is small enough to fit through slots behind the air filter screen. Algae and dust are inevitable problems, and the dehumidifier should be designed for easy cleaning. I bet 75% of these units get discarded when all they really need is to be cleaned.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One Of The Best with pump and set and forget. A high volume dehumidifier. This product runs in low temperatures and is in a cold, unheated, basement. This fact, and because it pumps the water up and out, are the reasons we purchased it. Also, IF the power goes out, it retains the settings and comes back on! So far, we're very pleased. June 9, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Dehumidifier, Quiet, Not so go pump design I bought the 70 pint dehumidifier with pump Aug 2014. The unit worked as expected, but within three months the pump quite working and bucket filled up. I tried to call support and never got through.. well I didn't stay on the phone waiting for someone to answer. I, a handy man, decided to take the back off, and found in the water reservoir for the pump a screen filter which was plugged with "slime".., it took a little dis-assembly to get to the screen, but once I cleaned it, it worked great for another 3 months, at which time I cleaned it again. The cooling radiator needs regular cleaning as well. I contribute the problems I have with the lack of an appropriate air filter system. I have since added a piece of hepa filter over the air intakes on the sides and this has help to prolong the water reservoir screen cleaning. I do not believe the humidity level as shown on the display. It never goes below 55%, Even though the condenser shuts off and turns back on. It constantly reads between 70% and 55%. It was a ridiculous design to have a non-user friendly screen filter inside the dehumidifier. Is should be user accessible with out tools. The air filter should also have been of better. The so called "air filter" which came installed is just a piece of screen as well. For the price it should have its own micron filter of some sort.. I only recommend this product if you buy the extended replacement warranty and be ready to replace it regularly. Otherwise it needs regular cleaning. Perhaps not waste you time on the pump version and buy a condensation pump to have it drain into. January 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stay Away from Hisense My Hisense dehumidifier worked as designed for nearly a year, then quit. I called customer support, and the agent was quite helpful. He walked me thru troubleshooting and concluded it was a faulty unit. He gave me the instructions for getting a replacement or refund. I filled out their form, sent them a picture of the serial number tag, etc. as requested. Then they asked for the cut off power cord, then asked for their form to be submitted again, then for another form of credit card receipt. In other words, the replacement/refund was NEVER going to happen. They just hassle you til you give up. Don't buy Hisense. There are much better products out there. June 15, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Can't get it fixed To be honest, I like this dehumidifier, but the service is lousy. The pump works great, it pulls a ton of moisture out of the air. But recently the outlet hose clogged. I replaced it, but now even though it does pump, it also fills up the bucket. When the bucket is full, it of course stops. I called Hisense and they were quite helpful at first. But their suggestions did not work. They told me if I had bought the extended warranty, they'd have fixed it. But they don't repair out of warranty units. So, it is still running, still pulling moisture out of the air, but now I have to run downstairs 2 to 3 times a day to empty the bucket. I rated it low on quality and value because I can't get it fixed. I paid about 270.00 for a pump enabled unit that I can't really use as I wish. Now I'm afraid to buy another brand for the same reason. They have to service you both before and after the sale to get a good recommendation from me. September 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Has worked for over a year. I've had this dehumidifier for over a year and it has worked very well. It does produce more heat than I would like when it is running nonstop, but if it is able to cycle on and off because the humidity is near the level it is set for, I have noticed there seems to be an equal amount of cool air that blows out of it. This is the second dehumidifier we own. I do feel bad for the other reviewer's who had troubles with their unit, but I have had no trouble with this one. --Dallas, TX July 24, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TERRIBLE COMPANY STAY AWAY Alright I originally bought a hisense dehumidifier and wasn't completely satisfied with it just because of the elctrical consumption. Anyhow I owned the dehumidifier for 15 months and the compressor stopped staying on. It would cycle on than immediately cut off. The back of the dehumidifier would get extremely hot when this would happen. Long story short it ended up being the compressor motor which failed and it would cost well over a 100 dollars to repair. I called customer support at HISENSE (their mission statement is QUALITY, SUPPORT, and WARRANTY!) The lady stated since it was a couple months over the warranty period there was nothing they could do no repair, fixes or discounts off a new dehumidifier available. I argued to speak with a manager to which they obliged and was told by her she would talk to the district manager to see if they could get me a new one. The District manager pretty much told me to go fly a kite and here I am 250 dollars out and a broken junk dehumidifier bought from a terrible company. One would think a 200+ dollar appliance would last for more than 15 months. I have had to bring my backup dehumidifier out which is a 10 year old frigidaire and it is doing the job HISENSE failed to do. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! November 20, 2014
