Product Overview

The Hitachi Roofing Coil Nailer is made for installing asphalt roofing shingles and insulation boards. This nailer is constructed of aluminum components and its depth adjustment allows you to change your driving depth with a dial. Simply adjust the dial and work with a variety of materials. The improved push lever has integrated holes to expel excess tar and grime build-up. This nailer features a side load magazine for quick reloading and consumes 30-percent less air for long projects. Other features include elastomer grips, a non-slip texture and a magnet to hold the final nail in its coil. This feature prevents nail loss or misfire. Also, the rubber composite guard wraps around the side-edge and other critical points to keep this tool operational in rugged conditions. 30-percent faster firing speed combined with 30-percent less recoil make this nailer the perfect buy for a professional roofer or contractor.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 39 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good gun Like this nailer replaced a ridgid with this nailer everything work excellent and fast only thing I don't like about it is it weighs alot more than my ridgid but is the same weight or less than the rest so not a big complaint however did cost alot more than any other nailer I've ever bought but worth it in the end June 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by quality and dependability is first rate I bought this nailer to do my garage roof and since I purchased it, it has done four other roofs. It has never misfired or had any problems. It is durable and is truly a professional grade tool. February 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Worked perfectly right out of the box. Never jams. Loads in seconds. Added a little oil once a day and cruised through my roof. Can never use a hammer again. May 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Strong, Reliable, and Consistent Performance Recently we picked up the Hitachi NV45AB2 for a roofing job that was scheduled locally on a standard single level ranch-style house. Rather than go the easy route & re-roof overtop of the existing shingles, everything was removed --- with new paper & shingles being laid down. For this we used the Hitachi in conjunction with a couple of other brands (multiple people nailing at the same time), and over the course of 3 afternoons the roof was complete. The Hitachi by far outperformed the others....not only with ease-of-use, but also reliability. By itself, the Hitachi used a full box of coiled nails, and did not experience one jamb the entire time. The power is excellent & this was coming from the 100' Hitachi 1/4" green hose, and using the Hitachi EC89 Compressor. The other guys had continual issues....not only with their nail guns, but also their oversized/bulky hoses, and LOUD/unimpressive pancake compressors. By far the NV45AB2 outshined everyone else, and if we had used 3 of them ---- vs 3 different brands, the whole job would have run a lot more smoothly. It is reliable, powerful, and is extremely easy to use. December 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This nailer is simply Fantastic!!!! My Hitachi roofing nailer, is lighter than any other brands I've used . Love the speed I've gained from the automatic trigger, and the flush nose tip. Thank you November 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simply the best! This machine by far surpasses all others. I've used Bostitch, Senco, Grip Rite and Harbor Freight nailers, but none come even close to this one. As for me, I won't ever settle for anything less then HITACHI... May 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Never a miss fire. Never The reason I went with this gun over all the others is because i used them all and this one never jammed, Miss fired, or malfunction in any way. Another thing I like is this gun spits out the last nail on the coil. Some think thats a waste of a nail or theres a flaw with the design, and there might be for all I know. But for me i love it because i don't have to keep an eye on the coil to figure out when i used the last nail. This keeps me from denting the shingle rather than landing a nail every time. The cost is about the same as all the other makers so it was easy for me to make this choice. August 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Its Like the Ferari of roofing guns We have just purchased 2 of these newer models 3 months ago & cannot be happier with them.I have been roofing for 27 years & have used many different guns & none of the others even come close to the hitachi . We have owned 5 of the nv45ab2 's for over 12 years & they are extremely durable. We have dropped several off of a 2 story roof ,not on purpose . The guns had minor damage but still worked ! Most of the other guns require a lot of maintenance such as o-rings & wear parts. You can use this gun everyday for at least 2 years without replacing one part. January 7, 2013
