Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by smorr2 Say goodbye to the tanks and the hoses
During the renovation of my house I rented this and was surprised by its capabilities. It does as good a job as a standard finish nailer, without the need for dragging a compressor and hoses around the house. The battery charges quickly; After opening I plugged it in, and it was fully charged within the hour. The only downside when I purchased it was that it did not come with the fuel cell that it needed to work (the force to drive the nail is generated by a fuel cell cartridge). Not a huge deal; I picked up a two-pack of trim fuel (trim fuel cartridge lasts for about 1,000 nails, according to box).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NiftySon Love This Tool
I've had this nailer for about 5 years. I've used it for installing crown molding in our 3200 sqft home. And about a dozen window boxes. Works great. No air hose to drag around. No compressor to break down and no compressor noise. The air cartridges last surprisingly long.
I wish they made a micro nailer to go with it.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Riverdog Haven't used it yet...bought it in advance of some upcoming projects because it was on sale.
Please DISREGARD the first two ratings, overall rating and quality, as I have not used the item yet. The value seemed excellent to me, which is why I made the purchase.
The staff at the Home Depot tool rental department raved about this unit and recommended that I purchase it while on sale. They explained all the features and what to do to care for it by showing me the same nailer. They said it's a very popular rental because it's lightweight, easy to handle, and very efficient at doing a great job.
I'm going to be moving to another home within a few months and I know I'll have some projects wherever I may go, so I thought I'd just buy it in advance. In my present home I installed what seemed like a mile of various trims and moldings and nailed them all by hand. NEVER AGAIN!!! (I'm too old to fight with long lengths of crown molding and baseboards!)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Justin Don't install quarter round without it!
My wife and I rented this finish nailer from our Home Depot so we could install quarter round over our new Pergo floor. All I can say is wow! This is nailer is easy to use and extremely powerful, and it significantly shortened the amount of time we spent on our project. Both my wife and I found the nailer easy to hold and manipulate, despite its slightly intimidating size. I would highly recommend this tool to anyone installing molding. The only downside is that it would have been nice to have a safety briefing from the tool rental folks before they sent us on our way. I found out after the fact that the nailer ignites flammable gas to drive the nail, and that it exhausts carbon monoxide and produces sparks, so be careful and use the proper safety gear.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sammy Good nail gun but difficult to find fuel cans for it
I have the Hitachi framing nai gun and I can use a variety of nails and 728982 fuel cans from Hitachi or Paslode with it. But this gas nail gun uses a difference 728981 fuel can that is much more expensive and much more difficult to find. Home Depot does not carry them in their stores or even sell it online.
The tool includes safety glasses which are wise to use as the plastic strip pieces are ejected toward the user's face and eyes at a high velocity.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Spydox LIghtest nailer I ever used, fantastic for overhead projects
This is THE product for use when nailing overhead. Perfect for T&G for example. On the downside- gast cartridges are expensive, and it has a relative long recovery time between firing. But the light weight moe than makes up for those..
