I bought this compressor in 2012. I did so many big apartment complexes. On the last project I connected three guns: two roofing for hardy siding and one 15 gauge for trim. I never had problem with pressure. Also I did several small framing jobs. I threw this compressor in the Dumster one month ago because it was broken. Money maker compressor.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Homer Not up to quality
I have a couple good quality Hitachi tools and would buy more. This compressor isn't up to their standard. On first startup the tank pressure gage wouldn't move. The needle was actually on the wrong side of the zero pin. The face of the gage isn't flat either, very thin. Too bad, the unit looks nice and is very sturdy. A little better quality on the gages and it would be a keeper...unless something else went wrong. Pretty noisy, but guess all oil free pancakes are. Called the "Please do not return to store, call this 800 number" and the guy said to return it to Home Depot. Ok. Ordered a a Makita.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GiBill54 Easy to use- Doesn't Jam
Used this pin nailer to build cabinet drawers. Worked really well, easy to use and no jams. Just have to be careful because the this nailer will operate without depressing the nose of the nailer. Just have to get used to that.

My compressor worked for about 9 months then developed a leak in the manifold. After some inspection I found that there was a gasket that failed. You cannot buy the gasket though, only replace the entire manifold. Called several shops here in town, call Hitachi central office ((800) 706-7337). Basically was told sorry about your luck...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A1Interiors love this nail gun
I have wanted to purchase this micro Pinner since using a fellow workers one day to do returns on window casing
The nails do not split the wood like brads sometimes do,
and they are headless and don't require putty to fill you can simply paint right over the holes they are so small
I love this Gun its Light weight ,adjustable depth and just cool in my opinion

I am a commercial/ residential cabinet installer. I did not even take this compressor to work and yet it failed me with a week or so of use. I lost the receipt, and chose to fix it myself. I have had to weld one of the compressing valves shut just to make the piece of junk ....useable? I still peek out at 105 psi and have to shut it of before the motor overheats. I do not write reviews on any products, however, this product was the biggest waste of my money and truly deserved it. Save those receipts kids!

I recieved my little compressor
My kids bought for my birthday.
It worked fine for a little while
but then it started stinking
come to find out the motor was
burning up ,I do not use this
compressor everyday so it should
not have burned up, now I use it for
my brad nailer around my house
and the kids tire now and then.
So now what I have to buy a new
motor , I guess if I knew ware to
pick one up , I would the ec510 was fine for what I do with it, but now its dead.

works great when it's holding pressure. Unfortunately, I do two or three projects, and the control knob starts leaking air. I understand that you can remove the knob and reseat the o-ring underneath but that is a temporary fix and the problem will come back. Seems most compressors in this price range have something that's going to fail.
