I bought this product 2 months ago and am very happy with the product. The fact that I can monitor the heater and set up a schedule from my smart phone using the WEMO app is very convenient. It also allows me to monitor the heater when I'm away which is great to prevent anything from freezing. My only complaint about this heater is that if the power goes out and then the power comes back on the heater will no longer run. The heater has to be physically turned back on. In my opinion that is the only shortcoming of this heater. Other then my one complaint I couldn't be happier with the product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Purchased this heater for my outside playroom. It's nice to be able to turn it on via WIFI so it is nice and cozy when kids play in room.

I bought this over 6 weeks ago and have been very happy with the heater. I live in a farm house that is over 100 years old. There is no heat on the second floor so having one in my bed room is so nice. I have never been disapointed with a Holmes produce.

I purchased the large one and it arrived defective so I spent more money and purchased the XL heater. What a waste of money! The unit does get warm but the fan isn't powerful enough to heat the room. For the money I paid I expected this to heat a room 12X12 easily and when the Holmes heater is on it can't get it warmer then 60 here in New England. Save your money and buy a different one with a better blower!

I have 2, I bought the second after getting one and being happy with the ability to manage it remotely. The second however was for a studio space off the garage which requires a WIFI booster to receive a signal. Setting the second heater on the booster has led to problems connecting to all of my wemo items including the initial heater. On top of that, the new heater regularly fails to connect even with the booster so it ends up being worthless.
On top of that the program-ability for the heater is very sparse. You can set an automatic heating session once per day with no differentiation between weekdays and weekends. The remote functionality is also limited to setting the unit to freeze protect which sets the temp at 40 degrees. Using this in a studio off a detached garage means it runs all night if set on freeze protect or we have to manually switch it on and off, again making the WEMO capabilities worthless.
If you just want this for a standard space in your house with good wifi, it's fine, particularly if you want to manage it on a one off basis and not schedule it to follow a specific program. If you need more than that, you should probably look elsewhere, or use one of the various third party wemo management options that are not the based on the wemo app. You can set up your own server which increases your ability to schedule and manage your wemo devices, that's just a bit more complicated than I was expecting. The Holmes extra large heater with WeMo went beyond my expectations as a room heater. First thing out of the box I was impressed with the aesthetics of such a large device being able to blend into a room like furniture. I was impressed by how much heat was circulated throughout my home within just 5 min of run time. The one thing I am not impressed with is the WeMo app and the way it works. The device will not turn off completely from the app and the controls within are very clunky. Discontinued using app after less than a week. It worked fine for a few days then stopped controlling the fan on the heater and needed to be shut down manually.
