Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rckrsn1969 Didn't do what I had hoped it would.
I followed the instructions carefully in preparation for using this spray-on ceiling texture. When attempting to spray it from the can, it barely came out of the nozzle, and ended up all over my hand. I wasted my money. I had hoped to avoid having to call a drywall/ceiling texturing contractor for just a small patching project, but I couldn't, and ended up with a very good looking repair. The professional was able to blend the old with the new and was well worth the $125 I spent.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beachbum Homax In-Store Demonstration?
I would like to challenge Homax company pros to give Home Depot in-store demos on HOW TO USE and APPLY the aerosol popcorn ceiling texture patch. No matter how careful you are and the most delicate touch you might have, this stuff will still WOOSH out of the can to create one big mess. Yeah, we know that the can needs to be shaken up because the mixture tends to settle to the bottom alright. Or, that the can needs to be warmed up in water first. HOMAX, have you thought about re-designing the "trigger" on the aerosol cans? Or possibly the diameter of the exit tube on the cans? Last week I tried calling Homax customer care and all I got was a recording of a survey that they have going. The aerosol can idea of spray on popcorn ceiling texture is a great concept but there needs to be more research and development to help make it more user friendly. Do you give $$ refunds or will it remain Buyer Beware?

What a terrible product! I followed the directions very, very carefully after completely sealing off the small room where I needed to apply a square foot of texture to the ceiling. I shook the can more than a minute, as recommended. Pressed the nozzle . . . and nothing! After playing with the nozzle for about 30 seconds, it finally gushed texture onto the ceiling, which promptly fell to the floor. After repeated efforts, a small quantity of the texture ended up on the ceiling, while the vast majority ended up on the floor, plastic tarp covered walls and me. I sprayed in 1/2 second bursts, as recommended, but the product still ran out within about two minutes. This is a horrible product!

Absolutely Aweful Product! A liquid MESS! You spray it on and it just goes everywhere and drips big time
all over the floor and walls! I was only doing a small area and it took about a half hour to clean up the walls and everywhere else it went all over. I wiped the gooey mess off the ceiling and threw the can away. Total waste of my money and time!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gobber Great product for small jobs
I needed to cover about an 8 foot hairline crack in a ceiling that had a popcorn finish. I purchased 2 cans of this product to do the job. It was the perfect amount and covered the crack perfectly. I let dry overnight and painted over it. I followed the directions on the can carefully. Can't even tell now that a crack ever existed. Well worth the price.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TGRRAG A great concept that's simply not DIY friendly
When we had a small 8" square patch to repair I was hopeful this would be the solution. Conceptually, this is what you want. Spray it on and move along. Only it doesn't work. This is akin to spraying confetti mixed with oatmeal. Really wanted it to work, but it requires too much experience and delicate technique to get right. If you work with it over and over, perhaps you can get satisfactory results...but I'm a homeowner and don't want to perfect a technique. I want to fix a problem. The Homax premix tubs are way better and actually replicate the texture quite well.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dave Savce your money - do not buy!
Does not work as described. There is no way one can use this to repair a popcorn ceiling. Mostly does not spray out, if it happens to it comes out it is to thick, does not go 18-24 inches, but mostly just spews and nothing comes out or dribbles out in a haphazard pattern that you cannot control. All instructions were followed. I wish I would have read the reviews first - learned my lesson the hard way, luckily it was not that expensive. Terrible product - do not buy it!
