the can does not have enough pressure to push out the product hard enough. It spits out big blobs that would be nice for rough popcorn or suitable for knock down but not orange peel. Now the product also dogs from the ceiling and makes a nice mess on your head and shoulders because it is so watery. tried running can under hot water per instructions, not much better. returned the stuff for a refund. the amount paid is exactly the price of a air texture gun. I'm gonna go get one instead of wasting money on these cabs

I used it for a ceiling small patch. It does not hold as it shows in videos. It also takes quite some time to dry.

So, I decided to change the ceiling texture from popcorn to knockdown. After reading reviews, I was armed for success. first, temperature needs to be 68 and 71. This can be done using a sprayer can shaker (Kwiktool) that attaches to my sawsall at lowspeed. if using your arm, use ice water to cool can due to heat of your hand. Then spray generously and wait for about an hour or 1.5 hrs. before striking (12in mud knife will do at low angle). Wait till low areas turn white and dry. The longer it sets, the thicker it will be. The video says 1 to 2min then strike, that's way to short, and it will be flat and mostly smashed. As to square feet, if everything is perfect, then you can get 40 soft, not 60sqft per can. Also, the picture on the can does not look like the actual product. If, you hunt long enough, I.e. Youtube, you'll see what it might look like. I think it looks like Broce' , but smaller spaces/gaps/valleys....I does look good

Might work better for a pro, but it took care of my problem repair. Looks pretty good, if I do say so.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by edtennis Excellent Product, moronic directions
This product does an excellent job of making a knockdown effect on a ceiling if you do NOT follow the directions. You do spray the material using the small white insert, using a sweeping motion until the area is finished or the can is emptied. The directions then tell you to use a wide flat spatula to "knockdown" the material after one or two minutes> DO NOT DO ANY SUCH THING< If you do this the material will "smear" as other reviewers have mentioned. If you read on it says it will take 2 to 5 hours to dry. Think about this. If something takes that long to dry, how in the world could it have enough body to apply anything to the wet surface in none or two minutes. Somebody at HOMEX should try using the material. You wait at least five minutes maybe even ten, you will know when you touch it, I used the flat long side of a wooden paint stirring stick, the material will have some body so you can "knock it down" and it will not smear but spread out in the manner it is designed to do.

Disappointing product. I don't know how this is considered for the ceiling as when you"spray"the product it just oozes out the tip and down your hands. What did come out came out poorly and looked terrible.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mrsbrash GREAT Product!
I just completed my second room using the orange peel spray texture. I have had NO problem with dripping, over-spray, or any other of the complaints I've read in these reviews. I think this is an excellent product and does what's expected, if the simple directions are followed. The reason for a 4 star rating is that it doesn't go very far; I always end up back at the store getting more cans to finish the job.
