I wrote to the company but never got a response so I am posting my grievance here-
I used this product for our bath tub. We timed it to be used just before we left for a few days so that it could set. So, after following the directions to the tee, we let it sit for about 4 days, about 96 hours. The instructions were detailed, the videos were helpful and easy to follow
It looked great when we got back and the finish looked smooth. Touching it also seemed like it was hard and dry. Then, to avoid scratches on the tub surface, we put down the rubber mat that we use for the kids and used it to wash them. When we tried to remove it, we saw that there were imprints on the surface from the mat! On touching, it does not feel soft but the imprint the mat left seem like deep ones! Stepping on the tub itself, it felt sticky- not soft sticky but a weird tack- stickiness. The base is supposed to be the surface that needs to be hardest but it felt like that was the part that stayed the softest!
We are not at all satisfied with the product and now have to paint it all over again. We spent about $100 in supplies just to get it right and it did not work out. We would like a refund but the company has refused to respond to my email sent about 2 months ago.

This is a great product.. It does require a lot of work for it to be done properly and come out looking good. But as with any paint job the key is always preparation, preparation, preparation,......
I started out by cleaning the tub with some of that spray bleach cleaner.. Then started sanding with 400 grit wet or dry paper.. In between sandings I cleaned the tub using TSP (tri-sodium phosphate) you can buy that at Home Depot in the paint department. Then I switched to 600 grit wet or dry paper. Where I had chips in the tub I feathered the edges to blend it in better. Also cleaning in between with TSP. For a final cleansing I washed it down and rinsed it with the cleqaner that comes included with the kit.
After everything was dry I started masking the tub. Be sure to wear gloves when your masking the tub as any oils from your hands can cause the paint to not stick. In the pictures below you can see I installed a remote exhaust fan over the tub to suck up the overspray as according to the manufacturer overspray that settles can cause the tub to end up with a dull finish. Cans must be shaken heavily for product to work well. I sprayed the first coat in the areas where you can see I had large chips from a previous bad "professional" refinish. then coated the whole tub evenly.. Per manufacturers directions I applied the second coat within ``15 minutes. (if you dont apply second coat within 15 minutes you must wait 72 hours before applying it.
This is a self leveling paint. but still caution is suggested to avoid drips. The only thing I dont know about this product is how long it will last, But it feels thick and hard and appears like it should last a long time. And my tub looks like its brand new,, Well worth the mioney and time invested in it...

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Trish I wish I never used the product
I followed all of these steps exactly as directed. Second step (after cleaning) is sanding and your tub will look absolutely terrible when it's done so your dedicated to following all of the directions going forward. Spraying was a nightmare because it completed filled the room and left a white residue on EVERY surface including our brand new tile floor. Rather than waiting 72 hours,we waited 5 days to use the tub to be absolutely sure it was ready. Upon FIRST use we scratched the bottom when the shampoo bottle dropped. From there the "tough tile" started peeling like electric tape from a smooth surface. The tub looked BETTER before we had started this kit now that this scratch has doubled its size in a week. The entire process took 6 hours including removing the excess spray from the tile floor and other surfaces. A waste of 6 hours, $50, and total destruction to my tub in my newly renovated bathroom. If I had never tried this product, my bathroom would look better today than it does right now.

Easy to apply and a great value compared to alternative methods of attaining like results. Once applied this product has incredible adhesion and color and gloss retention, and was very easy to apply.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Steele1 Horrible Product!!
My husband used this product on our 70s powder blue tub. He followed the process precisely and perfectly. We even gave it an extra day without use (4 days total) to be sure it had enough time to dry. It looked awesome...until we used it! The paint immediately started to peel, and got worse with every shower/bath. Our daughters (ages 1 and 2) would get out of the tub with paint stuck to their bodies. We eventually ended up peeling off most of the inside of the tub so that we could bathe our girls, and so the paint would stop clogging our drain. After the paint had really started to peel, I decided to try different sponges just to see what would happen. The paint got scratched all over with one of the Cello sponges with the yellow on one side, and green slightly abrasive on the other side. The company really doesn't give a great guarantee on this product anyway, but of course we hoped we'd be the exception!
TIP: If you have to peel off your paint for whatever reason, it peels off in nice big chunks if you spray it with HOT water, not cold.

I am a professional contractor and have used it in several occasions. I have not experienced the peeling as others have described. In fact to fully test its durability, I sprayed down my porcelain utility sink that we use in the shop. It is covered in junk, paint, oil, debris, and stains. I did zero prep work to it and the stuff is barley coming off a year later. the success of the product is all in the prep work, if it the surface is not prep'd properly, then I can see why others are having problems
