I would also prime afterwards if you are using a brush...after a couple passes with a brush the texture starts to flatten. use a roller for everything if you can.
also, other instructions that are not on the can- - - place the can in warm water to get it up to temp and shake the can until you hear the rattle or until you pass out, whichever comes first. this will ensure there's enough pressure in the can to dispense the product properly.

Answer:
No, the product sprays right on any previous finish. I would recommend a primer only if the wall is completely unfinished and has never been painted previously.

Answer:
Yes, priming helps the texture to stick to painted walls and keeps bare drywall from wicking all of the moisture out of the texture.

We just wiped the area of the ceiling we were repairing with a damp cloth before we used the product. Since it dried in a shade that was so close to the paint finish on our ceiling, we haven't painted it however I suspect you can paint directly onto it once it is dry.

Answer:
Yes you can. You will need to remove the glue left on the wall following the removal of the wallpaper. Prepare the wall for the best results, check out the video series below, you will have no doubts about the process after watching Russ. There are five parts to the series each 8 to 15 minutes. Enjoy!

Answer:
Allow to dry 30 minutes before painting. Heavier textures may require longer dry time, dependent upon temperature and humidity.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 74 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Felt like a Pro I needed to texture a couple of spots on the wall and ceiling where repairs had been done. This product gave a similar effect that my contractor had used on the rest of the walls with a hopper. I recommend shaking the can throughout the entire process. Also, start with large setting and narrow down or simply use a wet sponge to give the knock down effect. Over spray is easily cleaned with wet sponge. Dries fast, too! April 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good alternative to a hopper for small repairs good alternative to a hopper for small repairs. Very pricey May 3, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Low Pressure Early I have purchased several cans. The pressure seems to run out when the can is about half way empty. Low value for the dollar. April 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Texture Product Really appreciated the adjustablity of the pressure and the texture pattern. April 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Use the oil based one I used 3 cans total. 2 of the water based and 1 oil based. The oil based covers more area, is easier to spray, and sticks to the wall better. The odor difference isn't as much as people claim and oil based is way better March 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product Great product for touch up on repairs. The larger size helps when doing multiple fixes that lasts with left overs for the next one. March 15, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by inconsistent and no fine spray If your walls are the thick orange peel texture, this is the spray for you. I purchased two bottles of water based spray and both sprayed quarter-inch blobs of texture when set to the finest setting. To test, I set it to the thick setting and both bottles sprayed out small snakes of texture mush. As with any spray texture, the results may vary widely among bottles, but these extra gimmicky doo-dads (big clunky trigger, two spray adjustments) are nothing more than more things to detract from the efficacy of the product. It gets two stars for its evidently effective use for people who prefer the aggregate concrete-driveway look on their walls. Not recommended for use with nice-looking walls. January 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great I'm in the middle of a whole house remodel. I've used this for small patches and whole walls. Works great for both. Highly adjustable so you can get just the look you want to match what you have. The only requirement is that you do good prep work before using it. If your walls aren't cleaned up well it will show. Also put on a good coat of prime over drywall mud. If you don't most of this product will be absorbed into the mud. Priming seals the mud so this product will stand out. Practice first and you'll be happy with the results. January 23, 2016
