Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by decman better deeper color than some leds but directional & very bright head on
I bought 28 sets of these last Christmas after Christmas for 75% off. I tested them all and put them away and this year they were all fine but this is the first year of use. We've had a some moderate and some heavy rain this year for the month or so I've had these up. So far they all still work but it is the 1st year. I made 3 large decorations (about 2 ft each) out of green vinyl coated chicken wire (sphere, ornament & bell shapes) and put 800 of these on each of two of them and on the 3rd I used some others I bought last year elsewhere (of the conical type) The other 1200 of these I had already used elsewhere. The conical lights on the odd decoration out of the 3 have very washed out/white like colors compared to these. It is a noticeable difference (more so than the photo I uploaded shows). So the colors are good on these by comparison. Time will tell if I have trouble with the corrosion issue. That will not be good as these things were a pain to build and wrap. At least I paid very little for them. One drawback to this is that when you happen to look at a bulb head on (into the socket) it feels like your retina has just been burned away. The light is much more directional than the conical type. But that may also be part of why they do not look washed out. In any event the colors are some of the better for multi-color mini leds. At the price I paid it was hard to go wrong - unless I have to rework these things. I put so many on though that I could lose a few and not be able to tell. If you hyst really do not like the occasional seared retina you might like the M5's with an outer diffuser better but for cheap these are fine for my use - so far.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mark 3 out of 4 do not work second year
I just started putting up my out door lights. I love the LED. However, 3 out of 4 strings I purchased and used last year only partially light. Replacing bulbs does not help - sockets are severely rusted.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dock Not worth the money
I bought 10 strands of the 100 LED Dome light sets in 2013. This year 7 of the 10 sets only light one half of a strand. In every case, the first 50 lights work, the second 50 do not. At $12.00 a set, I wasted a lot of money. Research on the internet encourages consumers to only by strands of 50 rather than 100. Good advice! The lights are bright and produce a nice circular reflection on the house. We had a lot of compliments on the lights. Too bad they are only good for one season.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nepenthe One year later, only half work
As a couple of other reviewers have stated, only half the strand is working a year later. We purchased this strand in 2013 and loved the lighting on both the tree and the effect on the walls and packaged it very carefully for storage back in the original box. The lights were only used indoors. This year we were very disappointed to find that half the strand was not working, and that replacing the first errant bulb did nothing. We would have purchased differently if we´d known the lights would only last a season instead of the 15 *approximate* seasons on the box.

I love, love, love these lights and the best part is that it's energy savings too. Nothing negative (for me) about it. I plan on getting the white ones next time. Thank you so much, home depot! Great job, great item!

This is first year used. We hung them outside. Very nice quality plus bulbs shine in a neat orb manner.
