Answer:
On my C9 set there isa sliding access point on one side of the male plug. It'll slide out towards the plug prongs and you will see he fuse or fuses there. They sell tools to pull and replace the fuse as well.

4. Hope this answers your questions!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy Bought several hundred dollars worth of Home Accents lights last year. Every 100 string had half the lights out. 150 strings had 2/3rds out. Bought one of the light fixer pros, and it didn't help one bit. Apparently there is a known issue with strings longer than 50 lights. Really would love to have all my old lights back. Truly disappointed today, trying to get ready for Christmas. Bought more lights this year to be able to do more, and now will actually be doing less because of all the bad strings.

There was a very good reason I was using the old incandescent, only one bulb would burn out at a time. IMO these do NOT save money. they ONLY have a much more distinctive color which is why I bought them. If they would last 15 years, then yes, they would save money. Until then I guess I'll just keep throwing away my money.

Within a month, 5 out of the twelve 50' strands are out or really dim. Fuses are fine--I'm not willing to hunt down the problem. Disappointing.

I bought 3 sets of these lights because I needed 300' and they were priced well. Upon arriving, one of the spools fell apart. Ok, no big deal. Second built in light clip I tried snapped when a slight amount of pressure was applied, this became consistent and had to use roof clips anyway. They looked great for about 3 weeks of 4-5hr. use, then at times 50' sections began randomly not functioning. Being a former electrician, I decided to troubleshoot, turned out that all at once, several bulbs and/or sockets themselves were bad. I wouldn't have minded these not working a year later, but at least they could last a full season. Back to GE or EcoSmart for me.

I can't comment on the actual lights as I returned the item before using them. My problem was the reel provided with the lights. I purchased the lights just because it came with the roll-up reel. (I already had made my own reels in the past but thought I'd try this one). The reel was badly made and was already broken when I unwrapped it, I returned the item.

I have bought numerous sets of these and most do not light now- oldest are two years old. I tried replacing the fuses-not an easy task and very frustrating- one would assume that this would rectify the problem. New fuses on all the malfunctioning sets- not one lit up. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE LIGHTS. Very disappointing for so-called LED lights.

After taking the tree down the first year, a portion of the 100 light set went out. Sent it back and it was replaced. Work okay last year, took them out this year and 1/3 of the lights are out. No way to tell which, if any, bulb is burned out or damage. I would not recommend this product.
