I waited to install these due to storms we were having . So I open first box and it was a blob of lights ... took me forever to untangle as they were not in the usual 3 bundles that they usually come in. go to plug in and half didn't work so I move on ton the next box and it also was a blob and wouldn't untangle as to the cord was never separated. Plus most of those didn't light. I will be returning them this week .

Perfect for my room! The lights were just what I ordered. They definitely add more light than standard strings.

I purchased 6 sets of these lights to decorate my new house. All 6 sets worked correctly out of the box and have continued to work hanging from my gutters for several days now. They are on 6 hours per night and controlled by a timer. I'll update this review if I have any future problems with the lights. The reason I deducted a star is because the lights are a little difficult to get the icicles to hang down straight out of the box. Could be that they were stored in my near freezing garage for a few days before installation. Maybe store them near a heat register in the house before installation to soften up the plastic a little. Otherwise I would definitely recommend these lights.

The icicle lights were real easy to put up. The white cord matched the house and made the lights brighter. Love my Christmas lights.

I've had these lights up on my house now for 4 years in a row. I attached a picture though it doesn't do them justice at all.
Pros: They are cheap, beautifully colored (if you like clear lights) and work well. I keep expanding the
area I cover with them.
Cons: They are not LED and i end up having to replace 3-4 lights a strand each year (due to wear/tear, the wind and other elements).

The hardest part of assembling these lights was unraveling them. My suggestion is to open the box inside the house, not while you are on the roof, and gently start pulling the wires apart, remembering that the thickest bunch (three wires together I think) is the main wire and the rest are the hanging icicles. It takes some patience, but you'll get the hang of it after the third or fourth string. Spend some time stretching out the icicle wires so they aren't tangled when you hang them on the house. Other than that, installation was a breeze. Buy some gutter hooks and string them along the roofline (see photo). And remember that you're not supposed to connect more than 3 sets of these lights together. I was forced to run two separate extension cords up to the roof: one that goes up behind the gutter on the far right corner, and another that goes up the same corner but is hidden inside the front gutter until it reaches the center of the roof, just over the front entrance. I'm not sure if you can connect 7 or 8 sets together, despite the instructions that say to connect only 3 at a maximum. Just didn't want to take any chances. I think they look good. Very bright. We'll see how well they hold up under the snow and wet weather.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Donk reliability
Nine strings have failed, losing (usually) one section (about five feet) out of the total length. The loss isn't due to any single bulb failure, but seems to involve poor connections within a section. I have one string on which a wire has pulled out and I have no idea from where! It seems the wires are crimped (rather than soldered) and the crimps become non conductive. I have done some "troubleshooting" but the process is slow and frustrating since there is no assurance that the lights will keep working once installed. Purchasing new lights seems to be the only choice and that can get expensive.
Too bad; we like their ascetics, but not their reliability. Most frustrating when they work when tested, but stop working when hung. Since the ascetics are what appeal to us, I guess they are the only game in town!

They last for about a week and then a section of the light string will stop working. I purchased this brand two years in a row and will never buy them again.
