Rated 1 out of 5 by from section of the string is dark after less then 24 hours use I bought 3 sets of these mini icicle lights and after using for one night only, a section of a string is completely dark so what they claim on the Box "if One Bulb Burns Out, the Others stay Lit" is FALSE and Good Luck repairing it The other problem is that on each string there is couple of bulbs that have different bigger base size then the others and no replacement bulbs were provided for those

These things came out of the box more tangled than the lights I put away last year. Thought maybe I bought a return set and opened the second box. Nope. Yes, they work, but having been factory tangled, they don't hang as well as my old ones. Not related to these lights necessarily, but the strands keep getting shorter, and the quality keeps going down, while the price continues to climb. It didn't used to cost this much to hang 60 feet of lights. And they used to last longer. Coming to the point I might just quit. Bummer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Icicle lights Had two boxes from last year, unopened. We put them up and a section was out. We went and bought two new boxes and put one string up and a section was out. How frustrating! Of course, they all worked on the ground. I'm really inconveniencing other people , too, because we need help with them since my husband is a disabled veteran- Marine Corps, Vietnam. But, considering Home Depot offers the 10 percent discount for veterans, we are grateful for that and our use of it the last few years has more than paid for the lights. But if evaluating the lights themselves, I don't think the quality is very good.

These lights might be okay if you only needed one string -- but seriously, how many people have homes that one 13-ft. string is enough to light up the front of the house??? The problem with the design is that there isn't a plug/outlet on both ends of the string. So even if you did connect two strings together, the plug to plug into the extension cord to the outlet ends up in the middle of your (short 26' run). only need. Yes, I should have read the box but I guess I never imagined engineers would design a product that was so user un-friendly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lights, but very stiff wire We put these up in accordance with the instructions (up to 3 strings wired in series) and they worked great for us all winter. They held up during several New England blizzards and didn't fade in subzero temperatures unlike some of the LED strings we bought. They cost less than many of the other brands, such as GE, and the quality seemed good. The only downside is that the wire insulation is very stiff so try to pull the "icicles" down inside where it's warm if you don't want them to spring back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad: Home Accents 300 Mini Icicle lights The hardest part of assembling these lights was unraveling them. My suggestion is to open the box inside the house, not while you are on the roof, and gently start pulling the wires apart, remembering that the thickest bunch (three wires together I think) is the main wire and the rest are the hanging icicles. It takes some patience, but you'll get the hang of it after the third or fourth string. Spend some time stretching out the icicle wires so they aren't tangled when you hang them on the house. Other than that, installation was a breeze. Buy some gutter hooks and string them along the roofline (see photo). And remember that you're not supposed to connect more than 3 sets of these lights together. I was forced to run two separate extension cords up to the roof: one that goes up behind the gutter on the far right corner, and another that goes up the same corner but is hidden inside the front gutter until it reaches the center of the roof, just over the front entrance. I'm not sure if you can connect 7 or 8 sets together, despite the instructions that say to connect only 3 at a maximum. Just didn't want to take any chances. I think they look good. Very bright. We'll see how well they hold up under the snow and wet weather.
