It was fairly easy to assemble. It worked the way it was designed. It looked very pretty, but I would have liked lights around the head of the Doe too. The ears did not fit into the post. My husband had to use a tiny file to file off protruding metal inside the opening, where the ears were to be inserted so that the ears set fully into the opening. Several lamps were either not working, broken or missing. The nightmare was trying to get it back in the box the way it came. You have to stuff the head into the body of the doe. The hooks on the neck and the ears on the head kept catching and made it especially difficult to insert the doe's head/neck into the body. I would like a bigger box. I also think that is why some of the lamps broke or were missing. So be very careful and very patient.

I was shopping one day for a mailbox and when I went thru the door, there she was. Only one left. $19.99. I couldn't resist considering I always wanted one. But they never told me the lights on her leg didn't work. I asked if she worked before I purchased her. She's in the shed and I don't have an instruction booklet or anything.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Terry easy to assemble
It came quick and was a breeze to assemble. The head does not move as much as I expected. This is the second one we have owned. We also have the buck. His head moves appropriately. The lights died on the first ones but we have a flood light on it as our herd grows.

Easy to assemble and disassemble. Wind blows through it without knocking it over.

My husband and I bought the animated doe and buck. The grapevine looks great during the day and the lights look even better after dark. These are nicely sized and fairly sturdy. The motion is not entirely smooth but that wasn't important to us. These do come in pieces and require assembly but we were able to assemble them indoors and secure the pieces together using zip ties provided. Overall, we really like these.

For $80 I expected better quality. I bought the doe and buck together, and both had issues, although the buck was worse. On the doe, most lights were not clipped on the frame, so the wires were a jumbled mess and the lights were hanging inside the frame. There were no lights in the head of the deer. I spent quite a bit of time re-routing wires and clipping lights into place. The head doesn't move enough at all. The quality of the plastic bar on the motor that controls this movement is an obvious weak link. No way that survives the sun and weather for long. It will be a race to see which fails first: a light string or that cheap plastic bar. However, once put together and out in the hard, it does look ok and is a nice addition. But there are more impressive looking deer on the market that may be worth the extra expense.
