After 20+ years of fresh cut Christmas trees, we decided to switch to fake, but a whimsical fake, not a phony fake. We had a green wire tree like this one but it conked out after about 5 years. Fortunately we found this white one. It is easily to unpack, set up, and pack up. Worked right out of the box. Some people think we're nuts having this tree, but we call it our Ironic Tree and have a lot of fun with it. Plus the cat doesn't attack it!

I have purchased 6 of these over that last 3 years and had to throw 2 away after Christmas 2013. Now, while prepping the other 4 I had left for this Christmas, 2014, I now have to throw another one in the trash because the top section of lights do not work, and have no replacement bulbs. All of the trees started rusting and the wiring clips are all breaking so the lights just dangle. Got some plastic wire ties to take care of that problem. At $70 a pop, these things should last longer than a year or two. Very disappointed with this item. WILL NOT buy again.

The tree was beautiful when I put it up on my lawn. I purchased additional lights to make it a center of my display. After one month it started to dim and then went out. I was able to get it working by removing the inline electric unit, but less than 75% of the lights now work. There were only two replacement bulbs and one of those was DOA.

Bought this for the 2012 season, the first bit of rain we had it went dim and stopped working. Thought it was a fuse, only came with one spare fuse. So I waited until I took it down for the season, bought a pack of fuses and replaced them, still didn't work. Because I was lazy and waited to try and fix it i could not return it to the store, my bad. So, I took apart the control module to find the circuit board had failed when it got wet (poor sealant used by the manufacturer). Based on the number of posts outdoor use has a very high failure rate. Good product if you use it indoors only. Cannot find a replacement module anywhere :( So its either direct wire it and properly seal/waterproof it or trash it (80 bucks down the toilet). Save your money if the intent is to use it outdoors.

I am giving this a one star because I set this tree up thanksgiving weekend and three weeks later the tree did not light up. I replaced the fuses and that did not make the tree light ok so I can a only assume the transformer stopped working which is why the tree will not light up. Looked good while it worked but what good is this decoration if you are only going to get three weeks to enjoy it! I did not have the receipt so I could not get a refund for this item.

I love this tree. I have it outdoors and it looks great. Easy to assemble and very colorful.

I did not like the idea that i received a floor model. It did not come in the original package and was partially assembled. I do not think you should send someone a display model without asking if they would like to have it. I realize it was 50% off. But it us used not new.

Bought this tree because I wanted to add to my decorations with one using LEDs. We came home one night to find half of the LEDs were barely lit. I contacted my local store and picked up another. Plugged it into our timer without checking the tree and left for Christmas eve mass. We arrived home to find the tree lit, but the entire center section was out.
WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THAT 2 TREES ARE DEFECTIVE? This is one more reason that we need to have our products manufactured back here in the U.S.
I got out the spare LEDs and tried every one...no luck. Pulled one at a time and plugged them into a section that worked. They all lit except for one. I installed them all back and replaced the one that didn't work with a known working one. Still no luck. Tomorrow I'm returning this tree and will look elsewhere for a different manufacturer.
Home Depot should pull this from the market.
