I bought the Eiffel Tower tree from Home Depot back in 2012.
After installing it, the tree did not align well, which I tolerated.
It worked back then, for a couple of months.
It's 2013 now, after two weeks out in the backyard, only the bottom part of this tree is lighted up. The rest of the tree does not work.
I googled and emailed to Gemmy, the manufacturer about the problem.
I am very disappointed with this product, and will not recommend anyone to buy it, even though it looks so nice and perfect in pictures.

My best friend saw this on display in Naples, Fl and encouraged me to purchase it to complement my French-inspired new home in Sarasota, Fl. My tree is decorated in all things French, fleur-de-lis, glitter miniature Eiffel towers in two sizes, just gorgeous. So the Sparkle Crystal Splendor Eiffel Tower on the lanai just carries the French theme through the entire house. What a unexpected purchase from hd.

I 1st bought last year's version of this from Lowe's and after using it all year it finally burned out around August. I was hoping it would be available again this year and was only able to find the tall version at Home Depot. I preferred the snowflake style of last year's version better, but the sparkle effect on the this year's version is much better and I can live with the spun plastic and glitter. I found the unit difficult to un-package but easy to assemble. Use the zip-ties. I even used a few extra to make it more sturdy. It's been up and running nightly for two weeks now and it is stunning in the dark. I've been told that when the sections "burn out" what has happened is that moisture has gotten into one (or more) of the light sockets and shorted across the bulb wires causing them to break. The solution is to start pulling bulbs and find the ones that need replacing. Not what I'd like to hear about an LED 10,000 hour bulb life product. But hopefully the first unit will be salvageable with some effort. This year's version will not be able to be used all year as I expect the spun plastic will show dirt much worse than the snowflakes used on last year's. This is one of the few holiday displays I would replace year after year and I have a lot of holiday displays.

I really liked the way this looked. Great concept but poor workmanship. It lasted two Christmas' before one section of lights quit working. Very expensive pile of now junk. I would like another one but is this going to happen again? and wheres the 1-800 number to call for help. Would I recommend this product? Maybe.

I ordered one online, and drove to a distant store to pick it up. I opened it up at my car and could see it was a returned it because it had been removed from the box and previously assembled. So I went back into the store and bought the last one you had in stock. I opened it up and saw that it was a new one.
I went home and assembled the first one. I could see why this one had already been returned. Nothing fit well, I could barely get it togeather, the parts did not line up straight, it was crooked, and looked the leaning Tower of Pisa. Wires were dangling all over the inside, not attached to anything. What a pile of JUNK form China.

Worked perfectly last year, went to put it up this year and the base does not light. The Gemmy company does not support its product. They have an email process which they eventually just stopped responding when I requested new lights. Even thought they assign you a ticket number, many of the emails from them were like I was speaking to a computer (canned responses) and were not as if someone were holding a conversation.
