These chairs were to replace slightly larger ones of a different leather color that no longer matched the new decor. Rather than replace the entire dining set, we simply changed out the chairs. They fit under and around our dining table much better, and the color is a beautiful shade of medium to darker grey. We are not going to test it, but we think a drop of red wine might not be very noticeable given the somewhat mottled appearance of the leather (which we think is more attractive than a uniform dye). The seat was more cushioned than our previous chairs, albeit narrower in width. It is fine for us, but we think a larger person might feel less securely seated. The chairs arrived in boxes that were slightly damaged. However, the wrapping prevented damage to the actual product. Assembly was fairly easy, but my husband accidentally ripped the first bottom cover when still trying to figure out the placement. It is a thin felt- or mesh-like material that simply dresses up the underside of the seat, so it was not a big deal. You would have to crawl on the floor and inspect the seat bottoms upside down in order to notice. My husband thinks the tufted backs make the chairs seem fancier than typical Parsons chairs. Overall, we are very pleased with the purchase.

I bought this chair three years ago and loved it. It looked great and was easy to assemble. It matched our leather sofa vey well. I never knew about pressed or bound or recycled leather. Now I know. It has very short life. The chair is cracking and losing its look compared to the sofa. The sofa is three years older! I will never buy bound leather again.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Maxcrew These chairs are beautiful. We are using them as replacement chairs with our large glass table. The chairs fit perfectly around the table because they are narrow enough. They are very comfortable. I am short and now my feet touch the floor.

Received these chairs very quickly. My husband started to put them together the first night. I have watched him build a dwelling from the ground up by himself, it's what he does. After an hour and a half he still could not get the legs on the first chair. Finally I told him to put it away for a later time. Last night he tried again, after another hour and a half he got one chair together. The holes do not line up and everything had to be reworked. To put the 2nd chair together, he has to go get a new bolt as the one supplied is defective. Also, the desiccant pack in one of the chairs had ruptured and those little beads are all over my house, even in other rooms from where they spilled out upon unpacking. The chair looks fine, is a bit small and hard on the seat...but the trouble is not worth it.

The chairs are surprisingly attractive and comfortable. We got the chairs in cream and the color is beautiful - a very pearly off-white. The black matte legs match perfectly to the expensive, two toned dining room table we have (black legs, wood top).
We've used the chairs twice so far, for two different dinner parties, and they passed the comfort test both times. They have a very narrow profile which is perfect for our small dining room as well.
My only complaint was in how one of the chairs was manufactured - my husband had to reconfigure the drill holes in one of the chairs in order to assemble it.
