Assembly took about an hour (with Drive Drill instead of Screwdriver). Assembly directions are easy to follow. Size of this Island is compact and can fit in small areas. It would’ve been nice if it had exactly the same height as kitchen counters, it is about 2 inches lower (with wheels on) than kitchen counter (view attached pictures). We’ve been using it in our kitchen for cutting vegetables, fruits etc. Wheels (come with locking mechanism) work great to move around this Island on our wooden floor. It provides great mobility for our prep area and it’s turning out to be fairly practical.
Top shelf gives mobile storage capability but you can only store light weight items since the base board of the storage shelf is very light.
The overall weight of this Kitchen Island is not evenly distributed. The top (because of Granite) is very heavy while the base of Island is very light. The granite is held by two (20 mm) wood dowels which really isn’t as secure as it should be. I have a 2 years old son who loves climbing up anything he can imagine. I can see him trying to climb on it by placing his right foot on storage basket and then grabbing the granite top or Shelf handle to pull himself up, and that can cause the unit to trip over because of its uneven weight distribution. So, you have to watch out if little kids are around.
All the bolt holes stay visible after the full assembly; it would’ve been nice if the unit came with some kind of parts/material to cover these holes.
Overall, we are quite happy with this unit.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lori Very well made
I am very pleased with this cart. It was so easy to assemble that my 13 and 10 year old sons had it together in 45 minutes. The only thing I would recommend is sealing the granite top. Great for extra needed counter space and makes an excellent baker's table, sturdy enough to roll dough on. Compact for smaller kitchens.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Alice The Kitchen Island Cart has compact size, multiple versatile shelving and a well- placed drawer.
The Kitchen Island Cart has been a perfect addition to our kitchen area because of its compact size, multiple versatile shelving and appropriately placed drawer. Though compact, the countertop size is a nice fit for temporarily holding our microwave until we update our kitchen. It permits easy access to the microwave, while the drawer makes small cutting boards and small odd items, such as, small packaging clips, birthday candles, etc. just as handy and easy to find. The first shelf stores fresh kitchen towels and the bottom shelf stores small appliances that are used now and then; allowing me a clear more workable kitchen countertop space. The metal rack shelf holds fresh produce items like potatoes, or onions. Making them a visual reminder of what I need and don’t need on the next shopping trip. In the future, after our kitchen is updated, I look forward to using the cart’s mobility and easy-to-clean granite top more fully for years to come.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by rdub Surpassed My Expectations
My expectations were surpassed when I put this Island together. The thoughts that kept going through my head was that Home Depot was trying to compete in the assemble at home furniture world and has a strong product.
I have lived in a lot of small spaces and assembled a lot of furniture. I preferred the Island and here is why.
•The Directions were much easier to decipher compared to the ones that come with other products. I put the Island together in about a 1/2 hour.
•The Island has much better materials, wood and granite. Most of the other stuff I have put together is made with particle board and uses a wood laminate on top which over time can chip or pop off.
•The overall construction felt as if it was carpentry and not a computer model.
The Island looks cool and the granite top is really nice and very heavy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sandiegohaunted The Kitchen island is multipurpose and delivers on function, and fashion.
For most people, kitchen work space is always short in supply but high in demand. Creating additional work space could mean a complete kitchen remodel and be costly. A portable, fashionable, and functional kitchen island may be the answer for those looking to avoid costly remodels, and add valued function to any kitchen. LINON Incorporated’s line of home décor products may hold such a solution with it’s newest product the, “portable kitchen island with granite top.”
Linon’s Kitchen Island With Granite Top (food safe) [Item # 44037NAT-01-KD-U] is a mobile kitchen island, featuring a food safe granite counter top, sliding drawer with silver finished hardware, four bottle wine rack, sliding wire basket, and lower storage space. The wood has a natural look that would blend in well with other light woods. It is composed of a high multi-density fiber (mdf) pine, and after assembly the dimensions are 22.83” wide, x 15.75” deep, x33.86” high.
The Item was packaged with great care. The box had sufficient quantities of cardboard, plastic and Styrofoam to prevent accidental damage while in transit.
Included inside the kit is a nine page easy to read assembly manual. The design is modular, pieces connect using provided hardware such as, hex-bolts, screws, and dowels. Philips and flat head screwdrivers are not included but necessary to complete the assembly. All parts are clearly labeled to match corresponding steps in the assembly guide.
Assembly time was fast and easy once all the parts were laid out. There was an issue with part #2 (Right frame) which brought assembly to a halt, see customer service and shipping. Total assembly time for this build would have been less than one hour without the issue encountered.
The completed Kitchen island has a sleek and contemporary feel. The island found use in our home as an added prep space, however, it also was used as a mobile bar at a recent gathering, and as a serving counter for a larger family function we had. The drawer space is ample for small kitchen items, or towels. The wine rack holds four bottles of wine perfectly and the sliding wire basket can be used for holding additional kitchen supplies. For stationary kitchen use the island works excellent and is a great purchase option. This unit is wheeled for mobility; however it was observed that the wheels tend to get snagged on the grout lines of our tiled floors. Should you forget or only partially unlock the wheels and then push hard (opposite the locked wheels) there is a potential for the island to topple over . The very heavy granite counter top is only held on the wooden frame by two small dowels and seems potentially risky should the island topple over.
The Kitchen island is multipurpose and delivers on function, and fashion despite questionable mobility issues. This item is sure to add quality and value to any kitchen.
Customer Service Notes:
During the building of this item a critical flaw was found in part #2 (Right frame) causing the build to be suspended. Linon customer service was contacted and the issue was resolved.

I bought one and put it together in 30 minutes. The quality is very good and my wife loves it since she wanted more countertop space in the kitchen. I'm so impressed it the unit that I bought a 2nd one the next day for myself as a mini desk and storage unit in my computer room.
