First, Home Decorators showed some of the best service I've experienced with an on-line dealer! Second, My wife says I shouldn't be such a cheapskate and should have searched for higher quality stools. I agree. Read on..... The stools were easy to assemble but the screw holes in the supporting pieces were so small that the screws split some of the pieces even before they were screwed all the way in. The stools would be ok for use with a basement pool room or workshop, but not so good for use as counter-top or bar splitting an open kitchen and family room. Home Decorators worked great with me on the damaged stools and I will remain a customer!

I purchased these stools because I wanted to sit at the counter which seperates the kitchen and diningroom. I needed something sturdy but couldnt afford the high end chairs. I read the other reviews and purchased. It is true that some of the holes to screw in the pieces were difficult. I had to use a drill to open up those holes to make them fit. I was forewarned but I took the chance. The chairs are beautiful and match my decor so I am satisfied. It took about 2 1/2 hours to assemble where if everything fit I could have completed the project in 1 hour.

Well I loved the color on screen and it's not bad in person but not as pretty. Very sturdy but really a pain to try to assemble. It dosen't want to let you screw in the screws all the way and takes a hulk Hogan to get it done. I'm still not done with it cuz my hands got tired and am trying to think of a solution. There isn't that much of a savings over buying local. Wish everything you buy these days didn't require you to work on the assembly line for them instead of them hiring someone to do it and sending them put together. I am usually very happy with my purchases from Home Decorators-this one I am not as happy with, but once I figure out how to solve the assembly issue, I am sure I will be very happy with these stools too.

Stools are beautiful after I bought extra screws at the hardware store and spent some extra time fixing these stools.
My wife assembled these. She is extremely patient. She came out saying "These stools are horrible."
In my opinion, the middle, horizontal piece connecting the seat to the legs is too short and cannot be screwed in tight enough. It is still sturdy but does not instill confidence when you pick it up and wiggles around.
I put in four extra screws per stool and now they are fine. I'm not sure we will buy again because this is two separate items from HD that have assembled with a poor fit. We are also very good at assembly and building things so I know the problem is not us. I hope yours are better if you buy.

I have to admit that I was not looking for a stool when I bought these, but when I ran across them & saw the price, I had to purchase.
Just like EVERYTHING else I've ever purchased from HDC I was very well pleased! The color is truly orange & on point with the orange accents in the room.

These stools are fairly standard in appearance. They come 2 in a set, which was a good value. The assembly was a little difficult and some of the holes didn't line up properly. We have had them for a week now and I can already see indentation marks in the tops from things that may have scratched them. They won't last forever, but they were worth the price for now.

I can't complain I did get the stools for a fantastic price. You cannot assemble them with the Allen wrench provided. You need to use a power drill with the Allen wrench head, otherwise they are impossible. I did slightly crack one of the foot bars because there was no predrilled hole. They look great and serve their purpose.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AMFSCRAP Cute stools for the money
I was looking for inexpensive stools that would add a pop of color to my kitchen. The teal color was perfect! The stools were difficult to put together...we ended up getting longer screws because we didn't feel the ones provided made the stools sturdy enough. We also used wood glue to secure the dowels before screwing them together. It was a bit of a pain, but I know it will be worth it in the long run. The are darling in my kitchen!
