I wasn't expecting much for the price. I needed a large number of these and the price was right. They aren't made for heavy duty use but I was using them for light weight material. They were easy to put up and have done the job I intended for them. For light weight jobs I would recommend these.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Annie good on screen door
I put this on the storm door. In the summer with the door open and screen on for ventilation it allows me to put a curtain up for the privacy. The end piece of the rod has a rubber tip that is narrow enough to fit into the track where the storm window slides up and down, it is sturdy enough for a lighter weight curtain but not for anything heavy.

Not the greatest, sturdiest product. Should've read the size closer too. I thought this would be 24-48 inches but it was 28-48 so it didn't quite fit the way I wanted it. When I changed the location and hung a curtain on it, didn't seem very sturdy to hold anything.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Y239 Good for very light weight window coverings - sags in the middle somewhat when extended toward the limit
This review is being written 2/21/2016 for the Home Decorators Collection Model # 03-0545P Internet # 203676606 Store SKU # 869694 28 in. - 48 in. L 7/16 in. Spring Tension Curtain Rod in White, advertised and sold on the Home Depot web site.
This is an acceptable curtain rod for for very light weight window treatments. The rod extends by rotating one section with the other, and the two sections compress with a spring when placed in the window opening.
Be aware that this is a very light weight curtain rod and does sag somewhat in the middle if extended near the advertised limit of 48 inches.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OccasionalDIYer Good cheap tension curtain rod
Have used these to hang curtains in several windows, and they've held up well. They've sometimes twisted back from full tightness, so the fit can take some finagling, but for the price they've been great.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by RMFL Complete junk
You are probably thinking this will be just like the ones you remember from "back when". Forget it. This thing is a cheap piece of Chinese JUNK. The tension spring is so stiff, it's impossible to compress more than about 1/4". The directions are worthless. When it says to adjust it to appx 1/2" wider than the width of the space you wish to span, it should be a clue that the rod is not at all springy. The plastic ends do nothing to hold it in place. I hung a very light-weight valance from mine and I fully expect it will fall down soon. They are so cheap, it's not worth driving back to the store to return it. It appears this is the only type of spring tension rod made these days (no matter what the brand name) so I will need to find an OLD one with actual tension, or dig up some of my ancient wall-mount rods. Today waste of money and effort.
