Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lina Very pretty shelves
I bought three sets of these shelves (two 3-shelve units and one five-shelf unit). They are very attractive and appear sturdy. However, all three sets arrived with banged-up shelves. And some of the holes were not drilled properly so it was very challenging to assemble them. This is why they received 3/5 stars.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sofun2run I like this bookcase!
The hardest part about this bookcase was the weight of the package, thank goodness the UPS guy brought it inside! It was really easy to put together, took me about an hour by myself. The color is a bit darker than I thought, but still blends in nicely with my other furniture. It is the perfect size for the space I had. I am thinking about buying another one.

Very attractive, super sturdy (currently holding around 100 books!), easy to assemble, would definitely recommend.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Linaka Love this bookcase
Love this bookcase. It was so easy to assemble and looks beautiful with any style of décor and in any room of the house.
Shelves are strong enough for all books but also spacious and pretty as a curio shelf unit or a decorators mix of elements.
Does not look like assembled furniture and is great value for the money. This is my second purchase of this bookcase and now my hubby wants one for his room as well.
We have bought many items over the years from Home Decorators and have never been disappointed.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Zeldabelle Good value for the money
It went together easily and looks great for the money. While this doesn't contain particle board (a huge plus at this price point), the shelves are not one solid piece of wood but multiple pieces fused together end to end. This is visible us close but not an issue for our purpose (displaying legos in my son's room). My only other issue with is the piece is that the screw holes are supposed to be plugged with little finished knobs that poke out--not my favorite look--and keep falling out. (They can easily be fixed a bit a glue, but it's a hassle.).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JEMIC very nice
I bought 2 of these. They were out of stock when I ordered them, but they came 2 weeks earlier than expected and very quickly after I ordered it. My husband assembled them, and it went so quickly that I didn't even have a chance to offer my help. (He's a pretty handy guy tho.) They are fairly solid, just a very slight wiggle when no books are on it. The weight of the books makes it sit nice and firmly on the floor. The pieces are solid wood, no particle or pressed board. I couldn't find anything locally that was close to this level of quality without spending a great deal more money, even considering shipping. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Logical handsome shelving
I bought two of these bookshelves for my study. They look nice with my other mission style furniture and seem pretty sturdy as I have them loaded with books and vinyl record albums. The finish is uneven in places, but not too noticeable once they are full of stuff. One of them had a cross bar that was cut too short and the holes were misaligned for the screws. Fortunately it was in a place where there will not be weight on it, and it's not noticeable where the shelf is situated, but that was a disappointment. Still, for the money, I think these shelves are nice looking and a good value.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Balladda Great results, but assembly was tricky for me
Furniture from the Artisan Collection fits beautifully with our Craftsman/Mission decor. Real wood is used throughout, not some composition board covered with wood-print paper.
When assembling the bookcase, I found it difficult to attach the sides because the shelves are attached flush with screws, and the back rails are held in with pegs. The least frustrating approach for me was to assemble the whole piece with screws turned in only a few revolutions. After all the pegs and holes are loosely assembled, then the screws can be tightened gradually to prevent any of the pegs from popping out of their holes due to misalignment.
