I bought two of these cord covers for some vintage wall lamps that I had rewired.
They're easy to install and look good, but the covers almost fall off every time I turn the lamps on or off. I'm thinking I will figure out a way to secure them better to the wall, but I haven't done so yet. So just be aware that you may have a little extra work on your hands.

The cord cover comes with a 12" or so mounting strip that holds the cord and is covered by 2 15" antique brass covers. Each 15" cover is positioned over half of the 12" mounting strip so the mounting strip should be positioned halfway between the entire length of the 30" cord covers. If 30" is too long one of the 15" covers can be easily cut with an electric saw then make sure to position the mounting strip so it will hold both the 15" cover and extend enough to hold the shorter cover.

The cord cover requires you to first mount about a 12-inch a strip to the wall and the cover mounts onto that strip. The cover is in two pieces and the mounting strip is too short for the cover to stay securely mounted. It "flops" loose at the top and bottom. The mounting strip needs to be at least 24-inches long. I had to go buy a piece of plastic wiring channel from Home Depot to supplement the mounting strip and then glue the pieces together. The cord cover looks very good, but prepare to have to do some work-arounds to make it work. I still gave it a recommendation because, in spite of its shortcomings, it is better than a dangling cord.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mickeymoon Great deal!
This is such a simple item, but it really made the look of the lamp look complete. I had looked online for it and your price was by far the best deal and with the free shipping that was offered it made it a no brainer. The response time was so quick it seemed like I blinked and it was here. Truly a good experience!

A must for the swing lamps I purchased here. Hides the power cords, and keeps them out of harms way with a professional look. If you have dogs kids, or just want that last finish detail, buy these. I can thing of many locations that could benefit from these. Lots of finish options also, and solid mounting options. Light weight enough that if you don't want holes, glue them. I did. There are many products on the market to remove glue residue, just make sure you use a high quality glue that will adhere to the product and mounting surface. A great looking quality product to eliminate dangling, and dangerous power cords.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by honeyb06 You get what you pay for...
I had been wanting cord covers for the sconces in our bedroom for years... finally broke down and got two of these in the brushed steel... however I guess you get what you pay for because they are obviously not a high quality item. They arrived with several dings, dents, and scratches on them. I haven't hung them yet but once I get them up on the wall I'll see if the imperfections are still noticeable from a distance. Luckily most of the cord cover will be hidden by our bedside tables so it's really just to conceal about 6" of visible cord. We'll see...

I bought these to go with a couple of wall lamps. They were super easy to install and matched the bronze-colored lamps perfectly. It makes the wall lamps look much more complete.

Couldn't be easier just mark and drill and screw. OK product but then it's a cord cover.
