Answer:
Thank you for your question regarding the 30" cord cover. This cover does attach to a wall via a strip that you mount on the wall first with screws or adhesive, and then mount the cover onto the strip. Thank you for shopping The Home Depot.

Answer:
Earl,
It would depend on the size of your audio cables. The Home Decorators Collection 30 In. Cord Cover White 30 In. is 30" long x 1/2"w x 1/2" d.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 100 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Accessory for lamp This cord cover completes the classy look and style of the swing arm lamp. No messy cords showing! September 10, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cord Cover Not good The cord cover requires you to first mount about a 12-inch a strip to the wall and the cover mounts onto that strip. The cover is in two pieces and the mounting strip is too short for the cover to stay securely mounted. It "flops" loose at the top and bottom. The mounting strip needs to be at least 24-inches long. I had to go buy a piece of plastic wiring channel from Home Depot to supplement the mounting strip and then glue the pieces together. The cord cover looks very good, but prepare to have to do some work-arounds to make it work. I still gave it a recommendation because, in spite of its shortcomings, it is better than a dangling cord. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hide those power cords A must for the swing lamps I purchased here. Hides the power cords, and keeps them out of harms way with a professional look. If you have dogs kids, or just want that last finish detail, buy these. I can thing of many locations that could benefit from these. Lots of finish options also, and solid mounting options. Light weight enough that if you don't want holes, glue them. I did. There are many products on the market to remove glue residue, just make sure you use a high quality glue that will adhere to the product and mounting surface. A great looking quality product to eliminate dangling, and dangerous power cords. February 3, 2009
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by You get what you pay for... I had been wanting cord covers for the sconces in our bedroom for years... finally broke down and got two of these in the brushed steel... however I guess you get what you pay for because they are obviously not a high quality item. They arrived with several dings, dents, and scratches on them. I haven't hung them yet but once I get them up on the wall I'll see if the imperfections are still noticeable from a distance. Luckily most of the cord cover will be hidden by our bedside tables so it's really just to conceal about 6" of visible cord. We'll see... July 11, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks okay, but very unsturdy I bought two of these cord covers for some vintage wall lamps that I had rewired. They're easy to install and look good, but the covers almost fall off every time I turn the lamps on or off. I'm thinking I will figure out a way to secure them better to the wall, but I haven't done so yet. So just be aware that you may have a little extra work on your hands. October 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It does cover the cord From a distance the cord cover looks fine and it does cover the cord, so I'd recommend it to a friend, with reservations. The cover comes in two parts and fits over a metal sleeve that one screws onto the wall. The cover however is too tight to fit easily or slide easily on the metal sleeve. I had to use a small wedge to open the cover enough to fit it on. I've used cord covers before and they do need to be snug. This was more than snug, but I did get it on. Because one has to pry the cover to make it wider, it is easy to bend the edges. That happened to me. The top of one section is now slightly bent and so doesn't fit exactly flush with the top section. It is hardly noticeable but I know it is there. So, buy this product with those caveats. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Attachment to Great Lamp The cover looks nice, but the directions for installing it leave a lot to be desired! The cover should start at the base of the lamp; the instructions leave a 6- to 9-inch gap between the base of the lamp and the top of the cover. Because of the gap, it just looks a mess! And it can't be easily fixed because it would leave visible holes in the wall where the original screws attached the plate to the wall. We used common sense in attaching the cord cover to the lamp on the other side of the bed, and it looks great! September 3, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kingston Swing-Arm Pin-Up Lamp The lamps are exactly what I wanted. I have two in my living room on either side of a sectional sofa. I have an additional three lamps in my guest bedroom/office. Two are on either side of the bed and one is located above the computer desk. The bronze finish is beautiful. the lamp shades are good quality and very true to their color online. The cord covers are a must! The only gripe I have is with the worthless plastic anchors that the manufacturer choose to include. They do not have a lip on them so when you attempt to screw in the screws the anchors fall behind the drywall. I had to stop what I was doing and go to the hardware store to buy decent anchors. They cost .11 cents each! Hard to understand why the manufacturer would want to scrimp on such a cheap item. May 12, 2010
